To effectively plan the next steps in the development of our sustainability strategy, it is essential to understand our current position and our future goals. To achieve this, Pixida participated in the Sustainability Assessment conducted by Bayern Innovativ GmbH. This assessment is based on the 17 #UN Sustainable Development Goals and allowed us to evaluate our performance in economic, social and environmental sustainability as well as sustainability management. Additionally, it provided benchmarking insights against similar companies across the European Union.   The sustainability assessment was a valuable opportunity, enabling us to reflect on our current practices and explore future options. Recently we had the pleasure to attend the final presentations of two student groups from the Hochschule für angewandtes Management (HAM). This collaboration platform showcases the innovative spirit and dedication of the next generation of professionals.   One group delved into the intricate world of finance, presenting comprehensive analyses and adaptive solutions. Meanwhile, the second group focused on sales strategies, delivering insightful approaches to drive growth and customer engagement.   A big thank you to all participants, Peter Steinhoff and the PIXIDA mentors Annika Feuster, Dr. Patrick Baumann, Alexander Zanner, Wolfgang Swoboda and Dieter Drotleff for their hard work, creativity and passion.   At Pixida, we believe in fostering strong connections between academia and industry to drive innovation and excellence. As part of the Connecticut delegation's visit, which included Governor Ned Lamont, AdvanceCT CEO John Bourdeaux, and Senior Director Ted Fisher, I had the opportunity to not only attend the meeting but also present Pixida's academic and professional contributions during the company presentation. Following the recent visit by Governer Ned Lamont and a Connecticut delegation to our global headquarters in Munich, I wanted to highlight some of the exciting projects we're working on at Pixida USA that align with the interests discussed. One of our standout initiatives is the Vulnerable Road User Detection System (VRU), which focuses on reducing traffic incidents involving pedestrians with an innovative AI-powered system providing real-time alerts. This system is highly adaptable and can be implemented not only in Prince George's County, Maryland, where it has already shown promising results but also in Connecticut and any other state or county aiming to enhance pedestrian safety. Another key project is our Smart Transportation Bus Stop Display, which enhances the passenger experience by providing real-time information such as bus tracking, weather updates, ads, and social media feeds. This project aims to make public transportation more user-friendly and efficient. Additionally, we are empowering the use of shared data for EV customers, utilities, and car manufacturers through a Shared Data Platform. This platform aims to provide energy management services, among other goals, to support grid resiliency, contributing to a more sustainable and efficient EV infrastructure These innovative projects underscore our commitment to leveraging technology for safer, smarter, and more sustainable urban environments. I am excited about the potential to collaborate with various states and counties to bring these solutions to a broader audience.
