Earlier today, together with Patrick Kurth and Stefan Müller, I had an open and constructive meeting with German Federal Minister of Transport Patrick Schnieder.   The conversation was focused on addressing issues that are decisive for the future of long-distance mobility in Germany and Europe, both on rail and road.   Some of the topics we discussed were: 🚆Competition in long-distance rail is essential for innovation, growth, and passenger choice. 📉Track access charges must be reduced; such political signals are essential to unlocking private capital and more competition ⚡Long-distance bus - electric buses are becoming more and more relevant; we as a country need to invest in this to reach our climate goals faster   More details coming next week!

We are investing in a brand-new fleet as part of our transformation of Greyhound Lines, Inc.   🚌Last fall, 60 brand-new buses took to the roads in the US, another 100 will be driving by the end of this year.   🔧Ever since we bought Greyhound in 2021, we have been on a mission to help transform the business and bring it up to modern standards. That means integrating Flix technology, including our booking and operations platform, and driving initiatives for operational excellence and reliability.   🚍Now, we are also investing to make sure that the end-product that the customer receives is modern, high-quality, more reliable, and providing a better overall customer experience.   🚀We are already seeing great results with Greyhound. Both our technology, and operational changes as well as the new buses means our on-time performance and NPS has improved massively compared to just a few years ago.   👏A big congratulations to Kadir "Kai" Boysan and the whole Greyhound and Flix team, this has been a massive transformation, and we are beginning to see just how much of a difference we have made to bring Greyhound back on top as a great travel option in the US.

🇫🇮 Flix is expanding our Finnish network, and we are now covering much more of the country.   It's been 2 years since we first launched a bus line from Poland to Finland via ferry. And now we are further expanding our network in Finland, to make it the most comprehensive long-distance bus network connecting Finnish cities with the rest of Europe.   We are launching ten new routes in the country, greatly expanding our offer. 📍Some of the new cities added are Forssa, Kotka, Hamina, and Imatra. 🚍Passengers from Helsinki can now reach 55 direct destinations, and on average, we have 36 departures per day from the capital city.   🛳️The cool thing about our network in Finland is how it almost always connects directly to the ferry line to Estonia and allows travellers to get to the rest of Europe easily, affordably, and in a more sustainable way than the car or the plane.   The new routes are going live in the coming days, and we are already excited to see this expansion give more opportunities for people outside of the metropolitan area to travel across Europe.
