    Our EHG IT Trainee Camp is where tech meets nature! 🧑💻🏕️ A few weeks ago, we invited eight of our trainees and students, along with four dedicated supervisors from our Infrastructure & Security department, to join our first-ever EHG IT Trainee Camp. Our mission? To blend the realms of technology and nature – the camp was all about hands-on experience and practical insights into our infrastructure and security landscape, as well as about fostering teamwork and problem-solving skills in a unique setting, namely the scenic Buchseehof campsite near our hometown of Bad Waldsee. After settling in and getting to know each other on the first day, our junior tech talents dove deep into IT topics on day two. Their challenges ranged from setting up a reception desk PC and guest Wi-Fi to managing a mailbox for the “glamperhub.cc” domain – including a simulated phishing attempt, of course. 😉 Because of the chilly weather, the participants decided to work inside. But the collaborative spirit kept everyone warm, as did the heating system, which contributed to the cozy start-up vibe. While the final day mainly focused on dismantling the camp, showcasing our Smart Connect solution was a great way to wrap up. Looking back, we’re super happy about the valuable feedback we received – and even more excited to refine the IT Trainee Camp and meet up with our aspiring colleagues again next year.     Have you ever been to Cuenca or Dublin? No? Then become a student at Dethleffs and travel to both cities without needing a vacation request! 🧳✨ At EHG, we strongly believe in the power of broadening horizons and collecting valuable experiences that extend beyond our office desks and production halls. That's why our Dethleffs brand is happy to support its students when they plan to live abroad for a few weeks during their dual study program. This year, dual students Jasmin, Roman, and Elena gladly embraced this unique opportunity: while Jasmin and Roman chose Cuenca, Spain, Elena traveled to Dublin, Ireland. Their adventures weren't just about exploring new places and cultures – they were about gaining fresh perspectives, improving their skill sets, and bringing back a wealth of knowledge that benefits them both in their daily work and personal lives. "The internship abroad was a really great experience for us, and we'd recommend it to anyone," Jasmin said. "Cuenca has a beautiful old town and is located right next to a river. The people there were very open and friendly. This allowed Roman and me to improve our Spanish skills and gain lots of new experiences. We worked from Monday to Friday and took language lessons in the evenings. On weekends, we visited different Spanish cities." For Elena, her adventure in Ireland was just as enjoyable: "I lived with a host family and waited tables in a café in the heart of Dublin. I was able to speak a lot of English, which was definitely the goal of the trip! I'm super grateful that I got the chance to develop my language and cultural skills and meet lots of new people. Since the people in Dublin are very cosmopolitan, you quickly feel integrated and get along well." "In 2004, we set out to develop a product for the entry-level segment. We believed that a high-quality portfolio could be built up that would also stand out in this segment," explains SUNLIGHT product manager Kathrin Straubinger. "We were a young, sporty and very ambitious team – and that's exactly what the vehicles represented. And they do to this day," adds Stephan Brutscher, managing director at SUNLIGHT. Likewise, his team of – as he calls it – “micro-entrepreneurs” is driven by their desire to create trend-setting motorhomes and one-off experiences to this day.     Our own EHG Artificial Intelligence “ROLF” is now accessible to all employees – designed to give our colleagues full access to the power of AI with 100% data security. 🛡️🤖🚀   AI has become an integral part of office life worldwide, enhancing productivity and streamlining tasks across entire companies. However, a major challenge relates to the risk of sensitive information leaking into training data when using free versions of large language models.   To address this, we’re introducing "ROLF”, our secure AI model. "Tailored to the work demands of our colleagues, ROLF ensures the security of sensitive data while providing them with support, guidance and new ideas. Among other features, our teams can easily ask ROLF about EHG-specific information or simply exchange and discuss innovative ideas. That's just great!" explains Philip Eggert, Head of Digitalization Operations/HR, who initiated and supported the entire topic of AI and the introduction of ROLF together with his team at EHG.   Since this week, ROLF is accessible to all of our employees – whether they're working in an office or in production.     ‘We build people’s dreams.’ – Could any sentence better describe the RV industry? The first weeks of my trainee station at THOR Industries, Inc. have flown by fast. A brief recap of the first month: 🚀 Discovering the diverse range of THOR brands has been fascinating. The RVs are remarkable for their innovative features but also for their size. Touring various production facilities has provided great insight into their operations. 🚀 Delving further into HR projects at THOR, I had the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with HR leaders from THOR’s operating companies during the HR leader meeting. I’m grateful for the chance to further expand my expertise in learning and development by assisting with training sessions. Recently, I participated in Lean Essentials training sessions led by Matthew Krathwohl, the OpEx and Professional Development Leader. 🚀 Throughout the summer, I am part of Jayco's Summer Internship Program, part of the THOR family of companies. The program is designed to foster connections among interns and enhance our knowledge about Jayco, Inc. and the RV industry. I would like to thank everyone for the valuable learning opportunities I've had so far! 🙌 My key-takeaway: There is a wealth of knowledge and passion for the RV industry on both sides of the Atlantic, and I’m keen to continue learning more about it. 🚐 🌎

    SUNLIGHT x AlpacaCamping: Say hello to legal wild camping near bike parks! 👋🍃🚐 No matter how tempting wild camping may be, spending the night in a motorhome by the roadside or out in pristine wilderness is strictly prohibited in most countries – including Germany. This is for good reason, as protecting nature and especially its sensitive wildlife is paramount. The good news for all those who still want to enjoy the feeling of legally camping surrounded by nature, and who also enjoy biking action: In collaboration with its new partner and legal wild camping specialist AlpacaCamping GmbH, our Sunlight GmbH brand has launched a brand-new campsite category on the Alpaca website: “Bikeparks nearby” – providing campers with special camping spots located close to popular bike parks. All in all, the concept offers the best of both worlds – camping in the wild countryside and the chance to go on a few bike-based adventures just a stone’s throw away.
