𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 On March 3, 1983, E.G.O. founder Karl Fischer received a letter from the President of the German Patent Office, Dr. Erich Häußer, congratulating him on his 90th birthday. An excerpt from the letter states: "[...] Throughout your life as an inventor, you have shown in an exemplary manner that economic challenges can only be met with technical creativity. Of 275 German first filings, 145 led to patents and 620 to foreign filings". Many years later, employees continue to work with creativity and pioneering spirit in the spirit of Karl Fischer to create unique solutions with significant customer benefits. 𝐄.𝐆.𝐎. 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭! At the 13th edition of the Polish Business Run, 25 employees of E.G.O. Polska Sp. z o.o. (E.G.O. Poland) took part in five teams. This year's event attracted a record number of 41,610 runners, as virtual participation via an app was possible for the first time. Proceeds from entry fees will be used to fund equipment and rehabilitation for people with physical disabilities. The fastest runner in the E.G.O. Poland team completed the 4km course in less than 13 minutes! A great performance, even though the focus was not on competition, but on having fun and doing something good. In 1972, the E.G.O.-Group (E.G.O.) developed contact heaters with integrated rod temperature regulators for heating glass-ceramic hobs. It pioneered the development of glass-ceramic hobs, which became increasingly important in the early 1980s. E.G.O. had already developed the first radiant heating elements with integrated temperature regulator for heating the glass-ceramic cooking surfaces in 1977 and quickly followed the trend. In the 1990s, the EGO HiLight, a radiant heating element with a corrugated heating band, was launched on the market and has been an extraordinary success story ever since. There is a drastic drop in turnover, resulting in short-time working and redundancies. But the 1970s also mark the beginning of the age of electronics, which E.G.O.'s management quickly recognizes as an important technology of the future. After extensive research and development, the first electronic components for the electric stove are produced. The range of products is becoming ever broader thanks to electronic components and other new products. In 1972, the contact radiator with integrated rod temperature controller for heating glass-ceramic cooking surfaces conquered the market.
