𝗙𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳 - 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗜𝗖𝗘 🚆 Our partnership with adesso is mentioned four times in their latest sustainability report! Thanks to the successful integration of our eco.mio plug-in, adesso employees now receive deeper insights into their travel behaviour and the environmental impact of their decisions. 🌱 adesso promotes environmentally friendly and conscious travel decisions through a points system that will be further improved in 2024 with new gamification elements. The goal for the upcoming year is to make the switch from air travel to rail travel even more attractive and to reward sustainable travel through targeted initiatives. By cracking the 10,000 employee mark, adesso continued to grow throughout 2023, while air travel remained well below the 2019 level. At the same time, the number of kilometres travelled by train reached a new all-time high. A clear sign that adesso's measures, such as upgrades to first class in ICEs and the awarding of ecoPoints, are having an impact. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫… ❗ European Union produces the second-highest greenhouse gas emissions from the destruction of peatlands and swamps globally. 🏭 When being drained for peat extraction or other industrial use, the carbon bound over thousands of years oxidizes. ⛔ This not only releases huge quantities of CO2 into the atmosphere, but also nitrous oxide (N2O), which is over 300 times more harmful to the climate.
