🔎 𝗔 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 - 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀   🚢 What is actually going on in our factory? One of our machine projects is a H-28, which was designed for propulsion components in the navy. The machine can balance rotors with a maximum weight of up to 32 tons. Due to the Hofmann measuring principle, very low balancing grades are possible. This is particularly crucial for propulsion components in the navy.   This machine is designed to balance rotors with a standard diameter of up to 3 meters and expandable up to 4 meters. The entire machine has a length of 5 meters, divided into main and secondary beds, with a pit in between to fit particularly large rotors. This makes it one of the larger machines at Hofmann.   🔧 The machine has a 250 kW end drive, which runs the rotor via a cardan shaft. A belt drive with standard dimensions is used for smaller rotors. The bearing pedestals are divided into a lower and upper section, with the upper section accommodating the rotor and the lower section housing the measuring electronics. The upper sections can be replaced, which generally offers a high degree of flexibility with our machines. In order to approximate the real conditions in the drive train as precisely as possible, the rotors are balanced with plain bearings in an oil film instead of on rollers. This ensures particularly realistic test operation.   💡 The machine is a standard product, but offers numerous customization options to meet the specific requirements of different applications. What is special about these three? 💡 The high speeds and continuous loads affect the rotation behavior and require perfectly balanced components. Whether synchronous motor, asynchronous motor, axial flux motor or hybrid rotor, Hofmann offers customized machine concepts for measuring and correcting unbalance for every rotor type. For this purpose, Hofmann relies on the installation of high-precision measuring platforms with which measurement repeatability <𝟬.𝟬𝟱𝗴𝗺𝗺/𝗸𝗴 can be achieved. 💼 Sales meeting with a view - working and connecting in austria 🏔 Two weeks ago, three teams from our sales department in Germany and the management took the opportunity to spend four days together in Kleinwalsertal in Austria. The meeting / team event is not only there to work on cohesion within and between the departments over several days, but also to discuss current topics and plan strategically. Our quarterly sales meeting has been held once a year for many years in conjunction with a hiking trip like this one. 🔗 This year, the focus was on global and strategic cooperation with our partners and subsidiaries. The last meeting at the American Hofmann Cooperation site in particular had a positive impact on the motivation of our colleagues. We built on this by presenting important figures, data and facts about current projects and continuing to work on the strategic integration of all companies in the Hofmann Global network. Above all, the mindset of each employee played a major role in thinking in partnerships and synergies. 💡 This shared mindset requires a good sense of togetherness, which we were able to further strengthen with joint excursions. In addition to hikes, meetings, joint visits to alpine pastures and soccer evenings, it was above all the time spent together outside the office that provided new ideas and motivation. 💫 Recap Automotive Testing Expo 2024! 🚘 Last week we were part of the international exhibition for automotive testing, evaluation and quality engineering. For 3 days at Messe Stuttgart, we shared a stand with SPL Spindel und Präzisionslager GmbH to present our products for testing processes in the automotive industry. 🔗 The sensors and measuring systems from Ibis go perfectly hand in hand with the measuring devices and balancing systems from Hofmann. This advantageous combination enabled us to hold many interesting conversations, making the trade fair a complete success for Hofmann-Global. The digital measuring system DigiVib, which combines sensor and electronics and is therefore the all-rounder of the Ibis sensors, was particularly popular. In addition, an E-rotor was used to illustrate the various areas of application where our technology can be found. 🤩 We spent an eventful 3 days in Stuttgart full of contacts, insights and networking.
