- روبرت واين ألارد (بالإنجليزية: Robert Wayne Allard) هو عالم نباتات أمريكي من مواليد 3 سبتمبر عام 1919 وتُوفي في 24 مارس عام 2003. يُعتبر روبرت على نطاق واسع واحد من كبار علماء الوراثة النباتية في القرن العشرين. أصبح رئيسًا لقسم الوراثة في جامعة كاليفورنيا بدايفيس في عام 1967، وانتُخب عضو في الأكاديمية الوطنية للعلوم في عام 1973، وحصل على جائزة فايزر المميزة، وجائزة علوم علوم المحاصيل الأمريكية. وقد تم تكريمه بصفته محاضر لجمعية مندل السويدية وكمحاضر رئيسي في فيلمين من قِبل الرابطة الوراثية الأمريكية. كما شغل منصب رئيس جمعية علم الوراثة في أمريكا، والرابطة الوراثية الأمريكية والجمعية الأمريكية للعلماء الطبيعيين. كرئيس لقسم الوراثة في جامعة كاليفورنيا، لعب ديفيس دورًا رئيسيًا في جلب ثيودوسيوس دوبزانسكي وفرانسيسكو دي أيالا إلى قسم الوراثة في أوائل السبعينيات. ومع وجود جورج ليديارد ستودارد هناك، أصبح القسم بارز في كل من تطور النبات والحيوان. كما قام بتدريب 56 طالب دكتوراه وأكثر من 100 طالب ماجستير تحت إشرافه. Es ampliamente considerado como uno de los principales genetistas de poblaciones de plantas del siglo XX. Allard se convirtió en presidente del Departamento de Genética de la Universidad de California en Davis en 1967; fue elegido miembro de la Academia Nacional de Ciencias en 1973 y recibió el Premio a la carrera distinguida DeKalb-Pfizer y el premio Crop Science Science of America. Fue honrado como conferenciante Nilsson-Ehle de la de Suecia y como conferenciante Wilhelmine Key de la . También se desempeñó como presidente de la , la y la Sociedad Estadounidense de Naturalistas. - Robert Wayne Allard (September 3, 1919 – March 25, 2003) was an American plant breeder and plant population geneticist who is widely regarded as one of the leading plant population geneticists of the 20th century. Allard became Chair of the Genetics Department at University of California, Davis in 1967; he was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 1973, and was awarded the DeKalb-Pfizer Distinguished Career Award and the Crop Science Science of America Award. He was honored as the Nilsson-Ehle Lecturer of the Mendelian Society of Sweden and as the Wilhelmine Key lecturer of the American Genetic Association. He also served as president of the Genetics Society of America, the American Genetic Association and the American Society of Naturalists. As Chair of the Department of Genetics at U.C. Davis he played a major role in bringing Theodosius Dobzhanskyand Francisco J. Ayala to the Genetics Department in the early 1970s. With G. Ledyard Stebbins there as well, the department became preeminent in both plant and animal evolution. He trained 56 doctorate students and more than 100 masters students over his career. (en)
