- Comana Monastery (Romanian: Mănăstirea Comana) is a Romanian Orthodox monastery in Comana, Giurgiu County, Romania. In 1461, the original Comana Monastery was founded and built by Vlad Țepeș (Vlad the Impaler) as a monastery-fortress. Having fallen into disrepair, the original monastery was completely demolished and rebuilt in 1589 by Radu Șerban, future prince of Wallachia, Romania. Measuring 61 m × 56 m (200 ft × 184 ft), the new monastery was fortified with defensive walls and five towers. It was restored between 1699 and 1703 by Șerban Cantacuzino and again during the 18th and 19th centuries. In 1861, the foundation of the original monastery built by Vlad Tepes was rediscovered by Ioan Brezoianu. By 1960, the separate village of Vlad Țepeș had been established 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) west of Comana. During archeological work performed in the 1970s, a headless body, which may be that of Vlad Țepeș, known as Vlad the Impaler, was discovered on the grounds of the current monastery. Historian Constantin Rezachevici and others believe that he may have been buried here, near the battlefield where he was killed. (en)

Nel 1960 il villaggio separato di Vlad Țepeș era stato stabilito 5 kilometeri (circa 3 miglia) a sud-ovest di Comana. Durante i lavori archeologici eseguiti nel 1970, si credette che il corpo senza testa di Vlad Țepeș fosse stato localizzato nei sotterranei dell'attuale monastero. (it)
- Монастырь Комана (рум. Mănăstirea Comana) — православный монастырь недалеко от одноименного села, посреди дороги между Бухарестом и Джурджу; расположен на острове в озере. Как и Снагов (монастырь), он претендует на могилу Влада Цепеша. Монастырь также был построен Владом Цепешем. В первоначальном виде был укреплён крепостными стенами от нападений. Место для его строительства было выбрано на острове, в прошлом окруженном болотами, а доступ к нему был с севера, где находился деревянный мост, который в случае опасности можно было легко поджечь. Монастырь отреставрировали Раду Щербан и Щербан Кантакузен из боярского рода Крайовеску. В 1640 году останки , сына Михая Храброго, были перенесены в монастырь и захоронены. Многие родственники графа Джорджа Бранковича из Трансильвании поселились, проживали, и были похоронены в монастыре. Монастырь также был связан и почитаем династии Бранковичи. (ru)
