- Davis Cup 2016, oficiálně se jménem sponzora Davis Cup by BNP Paribas 2016, představoval 105. ročník nejdůležitější týmové soutěže mužů v tenise, které se účastnilo 135 národních družstev. Obhájcem titulu byl tým Velké Británie, která v předchozím ročníku získala salátovou mísu po 79 letech, což znamenalo rekordní interval mezi dvěma tituly. Los soutěže proběhl 23. září 2015 v chilské metropoli Santiagu na pravidelném každoročním zasedání shromáždění Mezinárodní tenisové federace. Na tomto zasedání došlo 25. září k rozhodnutí, na jehož základě byl od sezony 2016 v pátém rozhodujícím setu zaveden tiebreak pro všechny zápasy, namísto tradičního modelu, v němž bylo třeba k zisku sady rozdílu dvou gamů. Cílem bylo omezení velmi dlouhých utkání. Davis Cup se tak připojil k US Open, jenž jako jediný z grandslamů uplatňoval toto pojetí. Vítězem se poprvé v historii stala Argentina, která v záhřebském finále zdolala Chorvatsko 3:2 na zápasy a uspěla tak na pátý pokus, po čtyřech finálových porážkách z minulosti. (cs)
