These projects are working to protect vital ecosystems while creating sustainable livelihoods for local communities. Blue Alliance Marine Protected Areas is restoring coral reefs across 600,000 hectares in Indonesia by linking Marine Protected Areas with sustainable businesses. NTF funding helps prepare these businesses for investment, benefiting local communities. EarthAcre is generating carbon and biodiversity credits on community-managed lands in Kenya. NTF funding will provide direct cash payments and contribute to the development of a platform to manage payments, promoting sustainable land use. Conservation Finance Alliance’s incubator supports innovative conservation finance solutions globally. NTF funding will go towards the incubator’s third round. 🌍 Since day one, Klarna has proudly supported Milkywire’s Climate Transformation Fund (CTF) through funds generated from our internal carbon fee. Klarna’s support to the CTF is backing innovative solutions that are key to achieving global net-zero. Since 2021 Klarna has invested over $7.0M supporting 49 projects across 27 different countries. The fund has grown from having Klarna as its sole corporate partner in 2021, to having partnered with 22 companies. In the 2024 CTF Progress Report, Milkywire showcases the impressive achievements made across the fund's three pillars: durable carbon removal, nature protection and restoration, and decarbonization.
