Disney+ has attracted more subscribers without kids than they originally expected.
Regarding merging the services... they don't have any plans, but they are going to remain flexible.
Fun Fact: Major investors that control massive amounts of money, are as bad at video conferencing as everyone else.
While they are still syndicating content to other services, but most will be on a Disney service moving forward.
Bob Chapek says some sports will shift to ESPN+, but nothing significant that would impact the linear channels.
The next investor is having tech issues.....
There will be advertising during sports during the natural breaks.
Disney+ won't have ads since they have a large quantity of films and it would be bad user experience.
McCarthy says that the content announced today is the minimum amount that we will be seeing.
McCarthy says they are still in launch mode so some expenses include marketing and other launch costs.
Next question is about the content spend.
Disney will not be doing a "one size fits all" approach across the globe.
Bob says "they build franchises through the theatrical window."
Bob says they have to be flexible due to COVID and changing consumer behaviors.
He wants to know why Disney isn't going day-and-date like Warners is.

Disney expects 300 to 350 million subscribers across their three services by the end of Fiscal 2024.
They still believe ESPN+ will be profitable by the end of the 2023 fiscal year.
They now expect ESPN+ to have 20 to 30 million subscribers by the end of 2024.
Disney expects Hulu to be profitable by Fiscal 2023.
Disney expects 50 to 60 million Hulu subscribers by the end of Fiscal 2024.
McCarthy says they will remain flexible.
Disney+ will keep it a good value.
Disney+ still expects the service to be profitble by the 2024 fiscal year.
Disney expected the peak losses on Disney+ in the 2021 fiscal year.
Disney is increasing their content expense to be between 8 and 9 billion in 2024, which is up from original estimates of 4 billion.
Disney+ price in the United States will go up $1 per month in March. It will also go up in Europe by 2 Euros due to the addition of Star.
By the end of fiscal 2024, Disney expects 230 to 260 million Disney+ subscribers.
Disney will be organized financially into two groups: Disney Media Entertainment Distribution and Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products.

They have a target of 100 new titles per year.
The pipeline of product is more robust than they originally anticipated.

"Dave" doubled the show's linear broadcast viewership
Earlier this year, FX on Hulu launched, to provide a premium experience.
Hulu+Live TV has over 4 million subscribers. It is the 5th most popular TV provider in the United States.
In three years, Hulu has doubled the number of paid subscribers.

Star+ will have access to the ESPN networks that are available in Latin America.
Sidenote: $DIS has climbed as high as $161 a share in after-hours trading (it closed at $154.69)
Lost, Atlanta, and SportsCenter are some of the content highlighted in their demo of Star+
Star+ will launch in June 2021, it will be available seperately or as part of a bundle.
In Latin America, they are taking a different approach. There will be a stand alone app called Star+ which will include general entertainment as well as live sports.
After you opt-in, the Marvel tile will show more mature content such as Logan.
Films like Die Hard and Alien will be available as well as series like Family Guy.

Since they are adding content with more mature ratings, they are taking steps to safeguard kids. You will need to opt-in to mature content.
Now they are showing how Star will be intergrated with Disney+.
The price of Disney+ in those markets will go up to reflect the additional content.
Star will launch in many markets on February 23, 2021.
In some markets, Star will be fully integrated with Disney+ and be the sixth brand, joining Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and Nat Geo.
It will be available in two different ways, depending on the market.
Star and Star+ will be launched as the general entertainment content brand outside of the United States.
Disney+Hotstar is available in 7 local languages and is home to the most significant cricket events.
A version of the Disney Bundle that includes Hulu without ads will be available for an extra $6

A fully integrated Disney+ and ESPN+ experience will be coming to Comcast customers in early 2021.

There are currently 11.5 million ESPN+ subscribers.
Disney+ will launch in more markets including Eastern Europe, South Korea, and Hong Kong in 2021.
There are 38.8 million Hulu subscribers.
Previously, Disney said there would be 60-90 million subscribers by the 2024 fiscal year. There are currently 86.8 Disney+ subscribers.

Raya and the Last Dragon will be available on Premier Access at the same time it is released in theaters on March 5, 2021.
Over the next few years, Disney+ will have 10 Marvel series, 10 Star Wars series, 15 Disney series, and 15 features.
Something new will be added to Disney+ every week.
Blockbusters will debut first in theaters, with big content also coming to Disney+
Disney is prioritizing their streaming services by ramping up production for these services.
Eventually, everything will end up on streaming platforms.
Disney will also keep using the Premier Access model as well.
Disney will continue releasing content in exclusive windows to linear networks and theater exhibition.

Disney is facing some short-term challenges, but they are finding new and innovative ways to entertain and inspire.
