Taylor Swift Is Life caters to Swifties of all eras

If there's one thing I'm most proud of, it's being a Taylor Swift fan since the beginning. When her debut record came out, I was obsessed but Swifties of all calibers will enjoy Taylor Swift Is Life.

Written by Kathleen Perricone, this is truly an inside look at Taylor Swift. From her songs to her clothes to her history and even, some fun things just for fans, this book is honestly one of the coolest ones I've read this year.

Aside from giving an entire rundown of Taylor Swift's career, the book is complemented by amazing drawings of Swift. However, it's not just pictures of Taylor featured as there are little Easter eggs that Swifties can appreciate including her guitars, album covers and even, fun little references only some fans will remember.

I don't want to give too much away, though so I'd like to thank Epic Ink for sending me both an ARC and a finished copy. Frankly, there is something utterly delightful about having both and it mades me love this book even more.

Taylor Swift Is Life will make you appreciate TS even more.

Taylor Swift is easily the biggest artist on the planet and one of the most talked about people in the world. However, that wasn't always the case as evidenced by the start of Taylor Swift Is Life. Katherine Perricone begins with Taylor's life before fame and then slowly weaves the tale of Taylor's rise to fame with every high and low included for those who aren't as abreast on the history of Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift Is Life hits that sweet spot of being a great starter for those who are new to Taylor Swift and her career. It gives her entire background, talks about her albums, and even goes into some of the Swift lore new fans might not know. However, for elder Swifties like myself, it was a nice trip down memory lane and made me think about all the stages of life I've been in while also being a fan of Taylor Swift.

While I enjoyed the book a lot, one of my favorite sections was the focus on Taylor Swift's "Track 5." If you've been around for a while, then you'll know this. If not, I'll give you the shortest of summaries. In essence, every single "Track 5" on Taylor Swift's albums is always sad. This has been something fans have noticed from the very beginning and Swift has yet to buck the trend. Most recently, track 5 from The Tortured Poets Department was "So Long, London."

The other thing I enjoyed was how quick and snappy Perricone's writing was. She talked about Taylor Swift with passion and excitement which sometimes doesn't always translate. She even spoke bout being a fan at the end of the book. Even so, this book felt like a love letter to Taylor Swift, her career and the lasting impact she's made on music and her fans as a whole.
