Students in 8th and 9th grade may apply for enrollment in a Program of Interest for any of the of the St. Johns County School District high schools.  There are application rules and a timeline that must be followed in order to be considered.  Students in 5th grade may apply to R. A Career Academy is a sequence of specific elective courses designed around a career theme.  Career Academies create a “school within a school” feel since students select to be grouped by a common area of interest.  Each Career Academy has a Program of Study that helps guide students in course selection and plan for post-secondary experiences.

Many of our Career Academy programs offer related summer internships to interested students after their junior year of high school. Successful internships expose students to broad, relevant, enriching educational experiences in business and enables businesses to cultivate potential future employees.

The Career Academies of St. Johns School District depend on the business community to enhance the education programs we are providing to our students. Find out how your business can have a positive impact on our student community.
