HOUSTON - Council Member Fred Flickinger would like to make Oak Meadow residents aware Houston Public Works will begin construction of ADA ramps for Oak Meadows Park starting Friday, September 6. The scope of work includes construction on ADA ramps on 511 Ahrens St. and 400 Christine St. The cost of the project is $5,000 and is funded through Council Member Flickinger's Council District Service Funds.
The project is anticipated to be completed by Saturday, September 21, weather permitting. Construction activities are expected to take place Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
As a result of the construction activities, please be aware of one-lane closure throughout the completion of the project and a slight increase in traffic congestion. City services will not be disrupted, and residents may experience an increase in noise levels due to trucks and equipment in the area.
