There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Could you please recover the file. This is a PD-Canada file under license of:
PD-Canada
Please check my discussion for more information.

- Hallo Beeper, I have moved your question from User_talk:Filnik to here sinec Filnik is not really active here anymore and it is just a general question. A note: you can ask such questions at Commons:Help desk next time. :-)
- If you click on the red file link Image:War in Holland.gif you can see when, why and by whom the file was deleted. In that case it was "no proper source". It was a map of The Netherlands but it did not cite by whom it was made and so who released it.. Do you have anything to add? Why should it be PD-Canada? You can respond here. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 02:32, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

You can see my answer on my discussion page. All the information is there and you have a link in the Library and Archives Canada banner that point to the proof of what I said. It's no enough? I don't know what you want or how to help... Thanks for your help. Beeper (talk) 01:54, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
- (moved your comment from my talk page to here) Hi again, well, yes, on the description page there is mentioned that there are no restrictions - but they do not tell us why. You see the possible "why"s in PD-Canada. I cannot see a year of production, do you see one? If it would be before 1949 this rule would fit. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 02:03, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.CategorizationBot (talk) 10:45, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
