Català: Sindicalista i dirigent del món associatiu. Pel seu combat contra el franquisme i el nazisme, que el portà a ser detingut per la Gestapo i internat a un camp de concentració. I també per la seva fidelitat a la tradició llibertària del moviment obrer català, que es concreta en una dilatada trajectòria com a militant i després secretari general de la CNT a Catalunya. Membre de l'Amical de Mauthausen, cal subratllar, d'altra banda, el seu impuls continuat a la millora de la qualitat de l'ensenyament des de l'àmbit cívic.
