Description Billy West, voice of Ren and Stimpy and many Futurama characters, talks to David Shankbone about the abuse he suffered as a child at the hands of an alcoholic father, and how he stopped that cycle from repeating itself in his own life. He tells Shankbone that he first started to develop his talent for doing voices by consoling his mother, who would lay sobbing in a room, devastated that she was unable to stop her husband from abusing young West.
