Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Rumah Merto Prawiro atau sering juga disebut dengan Merto Sayok adalah sebuah rumah yang secara turun-temurun dimiliki keluarga Mertopawiro/Saidi. Rumah ini terletak di Paliyan Tengah, Karangduwet, Paliyan, Gunungkidul. Diriwayatkan Mertopawiro/Saidi yang menikahi Satem memiliki tiga orang anak, yaitu Mangun Sayok, Sagiyem, dan Saniyem. Rumah tersebut kemudian diwariskan kepada Saniyem. Pada 1948, rumah itu menjadi salah satu persinggahan Jenderal Soedirman beserta pasukannya yang sedang melakukan perjalanan perang gerilya dari Yogyakarta menuju ke Kediri. Ketika sampai di wilayah Paliyan, mereka beristirahat dan singgah di rumah ini.
