 Keep, as it does not appear to fall under any of the "protected work" categories under the copyright law. Additionally, governments generally release the national emblem into the public domain, although there might be some restrictions on its use. That argument has specifically been rejected before regarding Afghanistan. The law applies to "Photographs, paintings, or other audiovisual works". An emblem fits that description. There is no statement that official symbols are released into the public domain, and just because other countries do this does not automatically mean all have. We deleted Commons:Deletion requests/File:Arms of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.svg, so obviously your claim that all emblems are automatically in the public domain does not hold water. ― Tartan357 ^Talk 21:35, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
