Christchurch coat of arms photos

[edit]

copyvio - Commons:Hirtle_chart granted 1949 - so public domain in NZ from 1999 which is after the URAA date so its not public domain in the United States --TheLoyalOrder (talk) 05:47, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Keep The date of 1949 being used as rationale for deletion is incorrect. It is when the CoA was recognised officially by the College of Arms, not its creation. The design itself is older dating to at least 1948 (maybe even earlier) as seen here. Kiwichris (talk) 06:41, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Would have to be from before 1946 since URAA date is 1/1/1996 TheLoyalOrder (talk) 07:45, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Remark: How about the age of the decoration around the COA itself, the birds, the kiwi, the helmet. These appear to be fairly recent imho. The shield File:Christchurch coat of arms shield.svg can serve as an excellent replacement on Wikipedia or other projects. Ellywa (talk) 18:35, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: per nomination and my remark, nobody bothered to comment. Imho the decoration around the COA is copyrighted. --Ellywa (talk) 20:37, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
