Initially tagged as a copyright violation, but the tag was removed. This video contains footage of gameplay of the video game Arena of Valor, developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by Level Infinite. The YouTube uploader is Penta Storm, which I believe is an esports league, but still does not own the rights to the game and cannot release the game's footage under CC. Unnecessary file - the same can be achieved using an infobox template, plus the article where the file is used is currently nominated for deletion on fiwiki and will likely be deleted as non-notable. The file also includes a company logo, which is non-free content and should not be on Commons, and another photo with no info on whether it is free to use or not. - Ok, will create the inbox instead. The logo is my own artwork/design created by illustrator and free from copyright as long as its used under the instruction of our graphical guide. Same applies on the photo of the public office building, where our company is located since 2015 and is taken by the our founding members including myself. A map based on some bullshit data from social media sites. The reliability of the map is proven by the fact that the author did not obtain information in half of the countries of Western Europe. Likewise, the map lacks information from more than half of American states. For incomprehensible reasons, the American states are shown as separate, independent states. Somehow Germany wasn't divided into federal states on this map. - To my knowledge, Facebook photos of any person or organization aren't owned by Facebook and the user can control photo applications through privacy settings.
- I looked up this:
- "You own all of the content and information you post on Facebook, and you can control how it is shared through your privacy and application settings. In addition:
- For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos (IP content), you specifically give us the following permission, subject to your privacy and application settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Facebook (IP License). This IP License ends when you delete your IP content or your account unless your content has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it.
- When you delete IP content, it is deleted in a manner similar to emptying the recycle bin on a computer. However, you understand that removed content may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time (but will not be available to others)."

Keep. We do not know whether this is a toy, but even if it were, the UK has Panoramafreiheit. The object was photographed from the public highway, where Panoramafreiheit applies. This was part of a scarecrow festival in England, in which the objects are constructed by householders, are non-commercial, and are destroyed after a few days. The only commercial aspect of these festivals in the UK is the sale of the trail map, which consists of a single printed sheet of paper. The proceeds of the trail map sale goes to local non-profit causes which exists for public benefit - usually registered charities, and sometimes churches or village halls. Appears to be an unfree building. While it dates to the 1930s, per w:ro:Victor Vlad it was authored by two architects: w:ro:Mathias Hubert (d. 1964) for the initial designs and w:ro:Victor Vlad (d. 1967) for the final designs. Commercial freedom of panorama is not granted in Romania, and these images under commercial Creative Commons licensing are violations of the architects' posthumous copyrights.

Unable to find an original source for this image, but it appears to have been uploaded as part of a recurring, problematic student project (en:Wikipedia:Education_noticeboard#"Off_the_rails"_school_project_resuming) - like all other students, the uploader made a few small edits to fashion articles on enwiki, then created a draft about an artist a few weeks later claiming its photos to be their own work. There is no highway numbered M-1500 in the state of Michigan. No such highway is planned. Michigan's signed state trunkline highways stop in the M-300s (aside from M-553), leaving many unused numbers available before four digits would ever be needed.
That said, this file falls outside of Commons:Project scope, specifically because it it lacks an educational purpose (COM:EDUSE). There is no educational benefit to showing a hypothetical highway sign for a highway that does not exist. - Sorry the job is difficult, but I hope you understand these things: 1)Wikimedia Commons is for free licensed images only (limited permission such as allowing to be reused in one book or one article is not free licensed). 2)We respect the rights of Elena Verdes Montenegro and her estate, the same as all other content creators. 3)Elena Verdes Montenegro did not die so long ago that her works have fallen into the public domain. 4)For such a modern painter, the people who own the rights to the work - usually the heirs - hold the copyright. Therefore Commons requires explicit permission to free license the work from authorized copyright holders. If Commons does not get such verified permission (either through statement on authorized website or VRT ticket email) the image would be assumed to still be under copyright by the heirs of the artist and must be deleted from Commons. Since here only the footage is used, the director's permission is sufficient. It is written these between Articles 8 and 10 of the Copyright Law in Turkey. The director of this TV serie until March 2020 was Neslihan Yeşilyurt. Since this director didn't publish it on Youtube with CC, we don't use screenshot here with CC. Underlying footage may have a valid State of California license, this was not taken from a State of Califiornia site, but from a different site which has edited the footage, added titling and watermarking. - (1) In British law, intention is always given consideration. These are non-commercial works, created by householders to exist for a few days in a scarecrow festival. They were all destroyed a few days after the festival. The only commercial element in the scarecrow festival was the sale of the trail map on behalf of a local charity - a single sheet of printed paper, containing only a map of the village. The objects of the photographs had no financial value. None of the objects was labelled with Disney film names. On the trail map, only the exhibit numbers and locations were given.
- (2) None of the objects in the photographs contain direct photocopies, tracings etc. of Disney copyrighted images. Many of them (e.g. the mermaid) would not be recognisable to the Disney company if the photos had not been labelled with names similar to the films. They may be inspired by Disney films, but they are not copies of Disney designs, in fact they are as much inspired by books (e.g. Winnie the Pooh, Little Mermaid, and Peter Pan) as the films. They are not impinging on copyright.
- (3) All are photographs of 3D objects, taken from the public highway, covered by Panoramafreiheit in UK law.
- (4) This deletion request is inappropriate (and in my opinion, ludicrous), because the only parts which could be suspected of being derivative of Disney cartoons are three faces, which are de minimis on the scarecrows concerned. They are only inspired by three Disney faces, anyway, and they are hand drawn. The rest of the scarecrow constructions are straw-filled sacks, which Disney would never confuse with their cartoon drawings. All the file page descriptions make clear that the exhibits are inspired by the films. It does not say they are copies because they are not. It is not a breach of copyright to be inspired.

Having looked at some of the other recent similar deletion requests, I am now asking that if you really believe that any element of any of the above scarecrow creations are in any way direct copies of a copyrighted Disney image, please supply a link to that original Disney image so that we can decide whether any of the above photographs are breach of copyright. (1) Disney lost copyright to Steamboat Willie, the 1928 version of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and lost exclusive rights to Tigger (from Winnie the Pooh) on 1 January 2024. Disney also lost exclusive rights to Winnie the Pooh in January 2022. The Winnie the Pooh books (1926 and 1928) are out of copyright anyway. (2) Regarding Disney's other cartoon characters, copyright covers situations where one cannot tell the difference between the original cartoon and the counterfeit copy. In the above cases, it is quite clear that Disney could not have created those intentionally scruffy scarecrows, made of bags of straw and wobbly hand-drawn faces, which do not resemble Disney's original cartoons line for line.
(3) Being inspired by a film or cartoon is not the same as copying a film or cartoon. No-one could make money out of any of those photos by pretending the objects were the work of Disney. - @SDudley: . "Drawing upon" and "pulling upon" in copyright law, as I understand it, is a matter of degree. The Mickey Mouse faces in the above photographs are only referencing the character, and are not imitations constructed such that the viewer cannot tell the difference between a bunch of sacks of straw with a hand-drawn face, and the original drawn lines of Disney's own screen cartoon. And the other photographs listed above are not of Mickey Mouse. Although inspired by a Disney theme, those are fundamentally references to the original books (e.g. The Little Mermaid (1837)), which are far more the common experience of UK people than the films, because those books are commonly available to children here at all times at home, in schools and in public libraries. No-one over the age of five years is going to believe that the Disney company personally created those non-commercial sacks of straw. when they were clearly amateurishly (and sometimes rather clumsily) made by the parents and children of the village.
