English: William Henry Powell (May 10, 1825 – December 26, 1904) was a general for the Union Army during the American Civil War. He began as a captain in the 2nd West Virginia Volunteer Cavalry, and finished as a brigadier general and division commander. He fought mostly in what is now West Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley. He was breveted to major general after the war.
