English: William George Barker VC, DSO & Bar, MC & Two Bars (3 November 1894 – 12 March 1930) was a Canadian First World War fighter ace and Victoria Cross recipient. He is the most decorated serviceman in the history of Canada, and indeed in the history of the British Empire and Commonwealth of Nations.
Français : Le lieutenant-colonel William George Barker VC, DSO, MC (3 novembre 1894 – 12 mars 1930) était un as de l'aviation canadienne au cours de la Première Guerre mondiale. Barker revint au Canada en mai 1919 en tant que soldat canadien le plus décoré de la guerre, avec la Victoria Cross, la Distinguished Service Order avec une barrette, la Military Cross avec deux barrettes, l'étoile de 1914-1915, la médaille de guerre britannique 1914-1920, la médaille de la victoire avec feuille de chêne, la croix de guerre française avec étoile de bronze et deux médailles d'argent italiennes (médailles du courage) pour sa valeur. Il fut également cité trois fois à l'ordre de l'armée. Il reste à ce jour le soldat canadien le plus décoré de l'histoire de ce pays.
