English: Julian Abele (1881-1950) — an accomplished African American architect, and chief designer in the office of Horace Trumbauer.
- He graduated from the Pennsylvania Museum School of Industrial Art (now University of the Arts), and was the first black graduate of the Department of Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania.
