English: Julian Abele (1881-1950) — an accomplished African American architect, and chief designer in the office of Horace Trumbauer.

He graduated from the Pennsylvania Museum School of Industrial Art (now University of the Arts), and was the first black graduate of the Department of Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania.
