English: Eclipse Monument is located on Biharwe Hill in Mbarara District, aka Biharwe Eclipse Monument. It is famous because in Biharwe in 1520 AD, the total eclipse of the sun forced the king of Bunyoro, Olimi I Rwitamahanga, to abandon all the cows, women and slaves he had raided from Rwanda on his way back to Bunyoro, during the reign of Umwami Ruganzu II Ndori.
