English: Habitus of a very old and large, solitarily growing European White Elm (Ulmus laevis) in the north German Elbe floodplains, before and after spring shoot of the foliage (6th + 30th April). The trunk has a circumference (at chest height, in 1.3 m) of exactly 5.0 m; the height is about 22 meters. The age should be more than 150 years, maybe 200 years. Northern Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.
Deutsch: Habitus einer besonders prächtigen, solitär stehenden Flatterulme (Ulmus laevis) in der norddeutschen Elbtalaue, vor und nach dem Frühjahrsaustrieb der Belaubung (6. + 30. April). Der einkernige Stamm hat einen BHU (Brusthöhenumfang; in 1,3 m) von genau 5,0 m; die Höhe beträgt ca. 22 Meter. Das Alter dürfte bei über 150 Jahren, evtl. an die 200 Jahren liegen. |
