About CoLInS

CoLInS 2025 conference

The main purpose of the CoLInS conference is a discussion of the recent researches results in all areas of Natural Language Processing and Intelligent Systems.
We are pleased to announce that the 9th CoLInS conference takes place in May 2025 in Kharkiv (Ukraine). The conference is held annually. It takes the form of oral presentation by invited keynote speakers plus presentations of peer-reviewed individual papers. A Student section of the conference will run in parallel to the main conference. We invite students and PhD students to take part in the CoLInS Student section. The papers accepted at CoLInS will be published in the conference proceedings. CoLInS Computational Linguistics and Intelligent Systems Workshops (except Main Conference) proceedings are indexed in  SCOPUSWeb of Scince, DBLPGoogle Scholar. CoLInS Main Conference proceedings (Poster Papers and Student Section) are indexed in Google Scholar. Also CoLInS conference has a YouTube channel.

Official groups: Facebook.com/COLINS, LinkedIn.com/COLINS.

The conference attendance is free for all the participants.

History

CoLInS conference grew out of the Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Intelligent Systems and Applied Linguistics” (ISAL), which was organised for experts in the field, PhD students, students, and young scientists. The main organizer of ISAL conference was Intelligent Computer Systems Department of National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”.

The 1st conference was held in March 2012 and was dedicated to the 5th anniversary of ICS Department. Within 6 years, many Ukrainian and foreign researchers have taken part in the ISAL conference. It was a place (a platform) to discuss the challenges and progress in computational, mathematical, structural and applied linguistics. All papers accepted at ISAL were published in the conference proceedings.

Since 2017 the conference has become International. In odd years, passes on the basis of National Technical University “KhPI” (Intellectual Computer Systems Department, Department of Software Engineering and Management Information Technologies), and in couple years it takes place on the basis of Lviv Polytechnic National University (Information Systems and Network Department)

Call for papers

The papers to be submitted for the conference shall be in English and be at least of 10 pages. While preparing their papers the authors should to adhere to CEUR template. This is one of the main requirements of the publisher CEUR-WS.org.

Please, kindly note that the paper format should match the event to be held at the CoLInS conference:

Note: If Google Chrome blocks file download, please, right-click the link, choose “Save link as” and go for file directory in the dialog box. Then, click the arrow in the bottom panel of the browser and choose “Save”.

Papers accepted for presentation at CoLInS cannot be presented or have been presented at another meeting with publicly available published proceedings. Papers that are being submitted to other conferences must indicate this on the title page, as it must be stated on papers that contain significant overlap with previously published work.

The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.
