In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, ES’ Female Leadership, Empowerment, and Engagement Team (“FLEET”) held a pink pumpkin decorating contest. Twelve of the Eastdil Secured offices around the globe submitted entries and were judged by a panel of ES breast cancer survivors. We were thrilled to see the enthusiasm with which our employees took up the challenge! According to the World Cancer Research Fund, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, with 2.3 million new cases diagnosed and 600,000 fatalities reported globally each year. Nearly everyone is impacted by Breast Cancer’s reach, including members of our ES family. These pumpkins will be given to members of the ES community who are fighting breast cancer or have survived breast cancer, or they will be donated to local cancer treatment centers. #EastilSecured #BreastCancerAwareness

Last month, a group from our Charlotte office took a day to volunteer with Beds for Kids, a Charlotte, NC-based furniture bank. Beds for Kids is dedicated to serve by supplementing families' resources as they rise out of poverty and into self-sufficiency by providing beds and essential furniture to children and families in need. The Eastdil team worked in the warehouse to steam incoming furniture and prepare it for placement and also helped with furniture deliveries to three families. Few of us think that SOFR at 4.75% vs 5.25% is a panacea in and of itself; however, the confidence that comes from an accommodative Fed is palpable, especially when they finally put their money where their mouth is. We, like so many others, think this is the beginning of a move toward "normal."
