Melanie Margolin is Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative and Legal Officer of Clarivate, leading the people and business enablement team that manages the company’s global legal affairs, risk, privacy, compliance, human resources, facilities and communications and brand functions. From September 2023 to July 2024, Melanie served as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer.
Melanie has more than 25 years of experience overseeing legal, risk mitigation, corporate governance and compliance for global publicly listed companies. Prior to Clarivate, she served as Chief Legal Officer for Thumbtack, a venture backed local services marketplace technology platform, where she also led the marketplace trust and safety function and temporarily oversaw the people and operational excellence functions. Melanie also served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Wabash National, Inc., an industrial manufacturing and transportation company, and as Deputy General Counsel at Cummins Inc., a global power manufacturer and distribution business.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from University of Illinois, a juris doctor from DePaul University College of Law and is a graduate of the Executive Finance Program at Harvard Business School.
