London Bridge ticket hall is looking a little different this week. To mark #WorldDayAgainstTraffickinginPersons, The Freedom Fund has installed Freedom of Expression, an exhibition featuring art by young people vulnerable to, and survivors of, modern slavery who are working with the organisation's partners in Brazil and Bangladesh. Through their artwork, they share what freedom means to them. The exhibition serves to remind us all that slavery still exists. 49.6 million people are trapped in slavery around the world today. One in four is a child. Over half are women and girls. Modern slavery is an umbrella term referring to various forms of extreme exploitation, including human trafficking, bonded and forced labour, the worst forms of child labour, commercial sexual exploitation, forced marriage and domestic servitude. But by raising awareness and taking collective action, we can work together to #EndHumanTrafficking. -- If your commute takes you through London Bridge, I'd highly encourage you to take a few minutes to explore the exhibit put on by our UBS Optimus Foundation partner.
