It all starts with the grower! We view our growers as entrepreneurs and their farm as a business. Through our direct contracting model with tobacco growers, we can make a significant impact on their lives and improve farming practices, which our agronomy technicians support regularly throughout the duration of the crop cycle. Providing growers advice and guidance on their crop helps improve their livelihoods, yields and income. #tobaccogrowing #farmingpractices

We have just been awarded the Global Equality Standard (GES) once again! First recognized in 2021, this certification from EY highlights our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). This year, we’ve improved by 11% compared to 2021, which reflects our ongoing efforts to an inclusive and respectful workplace. Some key achievements include our re-certification as a Global Equal Pay employer, our focus on Mental Health in the workplace and our work towards a more balanced gender representation. Isabelle C. Staiger, Partner at EY, commented: "We identified a pivotal cultural shift, towards a culture described by employees as more inclusive, respectful, open-minded, and collaborative. At JTI, mentoring and coaching aren’t just programs—they’re key to unlocking personal and professional growth. Through these initiatives, employees at every stage of their careers gain valuable insights, build resilience, and set tangible goals for the future. In 2023-2024, over 90% of mentees in our mentoring program found the experience “very successful,” and more than 80% achieved or exceeded their goals. Coaching also earned an impressive 4.7/5 satisfaction rating, thanks to meaningful, actionable conversations.
