First stone laid! 🏗️ Today marks a significant milestone as we have inaugurated the works of our hotel project in Schlatt (Switzerland) at the presence of GF leaders, representatives of Canton Thurgau, and Mayor of the town. The ceremony also featured a time capsule burial, encapsulating our project vision, participant business cards, and local press coverage among other items. ⏳ Our construction timeline is set for completion by December 2025 and opening in 2026. Stay tuned for more updates about the construction of the new GF-owned Hotel Paradies and the renovation works at the historic "Paradies" restaurant – both part of our existing convent-based training and education center. #team #office #learning #sustainability

🌍 GF is one of the World's Most Sustainable Companies for 2024, ranking 266th out of the top 500 companies recognized by TIME and Statista, with GF Building Flow Solutions (formerly Uponor) at 343rd. These latest achievements reaffirm GF’s leadership in sustainability. 🌿 The ranking includes companies with transparent sustainability commitments, showing it is possible even in manufacturing by: - ‘Incorporating sustainability into their business models’. In 2023, GF generated 68% of sales from products with social or environmental benefits (target 2025: 70%). - ‘Reducing emissions and energy consumption’. In 2023, GF cut Scope 1 and 2 CO2e emissions by 9% vs 2022 and renewable energy use rose to 33% (2022: 29%). - ‘Receiving high scores from the Carbon Disclosure Project and signing top climate programs’.
