🔍See how researchers developed a multiplexed methylation #ddPCR assay for the detection of eight tumor types in this recent paper: https://lnkd.in/gfU95HYW In this recent paper from Molecular Oncology, researchers leveraged Droplet Digital PCR technology to create and validate a multi-cancer detection assay. They selected differentially methylated DNA targets from eight common tumor types, including lung, breast, prostate, colorectal, pancreatic, esophageal, liver, and head and neck cancer. Their results suggested that combining targets could drastically enhance the sensitivity and specificity of cancer detection, informing future applications.
