We are transforming heavy industry for a sustainable future 🌍 Heavy industries like cement, chemicals, metals, and mining are at the forefront of global economic growth. However, they are responsible for nearly 25% of energy-related emissions worldwide (IAE). Laura Requeno García and Daniele Pedron, MSc highlight the path to their transformation towards net zero: ➡️ Electrification: Replacing fossil fuels with electric alternatives. ➡️ Optimization: Increasing energy efficiency in production processes. ➡️ Digitalization: Using data-driven solutions to monitor and reduce energy waste. With the right technology and collaborative efforts, we can enable the decarbonization of the world’s most energy-intensive sectors. 🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eRZb2t7u
