Four-lepton production in gluon fusion at NLO matched to parton showers
/ Alioli, Simone (Milan Bicocca U.) ; Ferrario Ravasio, Silvia (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Lindert, Jonas M. (Sussex U., Astron. Ctr.) ; Röntsch, Raoul (CERN)
We present a calculation of the next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections to gluon-induced electroweak gauge boson pair production, $gg \to ZZ$ and $gg \to W^+W^-$, matched to the PYTHIA8 parton shower in the POWHEG approach. The calculation consistently incorporates the continuum background, the Higgs-mediated $gg\to H^* \to VV$ process, and their interference. [...]

QCD corrections to vector boson pair production in gluon fusion including interference effects with off-shell Higgs at the LHC
/ Caola, Fabrizio (CERN) ; Dowling, Matthew (KIT, Karlsruhe, TTP) ; Melnikov, Kirill (KIT, Karlsruhe, TTP) ; Röntsch, Raoul (KIT, Karlsruhe, TTP) ; Tancredi, Lorenzo (KIT, Karlsruhe, TTP)
We compute next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections to the production of two massive electroweak bosons in gluon fusion. We consider both the prompt production process $gg \to VV$ and the production mediated by an exchange of an s-channel Higgs boson, $gg \to H^* \to V V$. [...]

ZZ production at high transverse momenta beyond NLO QCD
/ Campanario, Francisco (Valencia U., IFIC ; KIT, Karlsruhe, TP) ; Rauch, Michael (KIT, Karlsruhe, TP) ; Sapeta, Sebastian (CERN)
We study the production of the four-lepton final state $l^+ l^- l^+ l^-$, predominantly produced by a pair of electroweak Z bosons, ZZ. Using the LoopSim method, we merge NLO QCD results for ZZ and ZZ+jet and obtain approximate NNLO predictions for ZZ production. [...]

Two-loop helicity amplitudes for the production of two off-shell electroweak bosons in gluon fusion

We compute the part of the two-loop virtual amplitude for the process $gg \to V_1 V_2 \to (l_1 \bar l'_{1}) (l_2 \bar l'_2)$, where $V_{1,2}$ are arbitrary electroweak gauge bosons, that receives contributions from loops of massless quarks. Invariant masses of electroweak bosons are allowed to be different from each other. [...]

Combining LEP and LHC to bound the Higgs Width
/ Englert, Christoph (Glasgow U.) ; McCullough, Matthew (CERN) ; Spannowsky, Michael (Durham U., IPPP)
The correlation of on- and off-shell Higgs boson production at the LHC in $gg \to h^* \to ZZ$ to bound the Higgs width, under specific model-dependent assumptions, has recently received a lot of attention. As off-shell cross section measurements in this channel suffer from a small signal yield, large backgrounds, and theoretical uncertainties, we propose an alternative complementary constraint which is only possible through the combination of LEP and LHC measurements. [...]

The $\hat{H}$-Parameter: An Oblique Higgs View
/ Englert, Christoph (SUPA, UK) ; Giudice, Gian F. (CERN) ; Greljo, Admir (CERN) ; Mccullough, Matthew (CERN ; Cambridge U., DAMTP)
We study, from theoretical and phenomenological angles, the Higgs boson oblique parameter $\hat{H}$, as the hallmark of off-shell Higgs physics. $\hat{H}$ is defined as the Wilson coefficient of the sole dimension-6 operator that modifies the Higgs boson propagator, within a Universal EFT. [...]

NLO QCD+EW predictions for $2\ell2\nu$ diboson signatures at the LHC
/ Kallweit, S. (CERN) ; Lindert, J.M. (Durham U., IPPP) ; Pozzorini, S. (Zurich U.) ; Schönherr, M. (Zurich U.)
We present next-to-leading order (NLO) calculations including QCD and electroweak (EW) corrections for $2\ell2\nu$ diboson signatures with two opposite-charge leptons and two neutrinos. Specifically, we study the processes $pp\to e^+ \mu^- \nu_{e}\bar\nu_{\mu}$ and $pp\to e^+ e^-\nu\bar\nu$, including all relevant off-shell diboson channels, $W^+W^-$, $ZZ$, $\gamma Z$, as well as non-resonant contributions. Gluon-induced WW background to Higgs boson searches at the LHC
/ Binoth, T (Wurzburg U.) ; Ciccolini, M (PSI, Villigen) ; Kauer, N (Aachen, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Krämer, M (Aachen, Tech. Hochsch.)
Vector-boson pair production is an important background for Higgs boson and new physics searches at the Large Hadron Collider LHC. We have calculated the loop-induced gluon-fusion process gg -> WW -> leptons, allowing for arbitrary invariant masses of the intermediate W bosons. [...]
