The Er162(n,2n)Er161 reaction cross section (Eth=9.26MeV) was measured at six incident neutron beam energies by means of the activation technique. Two energy regions were covered in the present work: the near-threshold energies between 10.7 and 11.3 MeV, as well as the higher energies from 17.1 up to 19.0 MeV. [...]

Several cross-section measurements of neutron-induced reactions on Ge found in literature, are performed utilizing natGe targets. The production of the same residual nucleus as the measured one might occur as a result of the unavoidable presence of neighboring isotopes in the same target, acting as a contamination [...]

The $^{234}$U(n,f) reaction cross section was measured for three neutron energies 14.8, 16.5 and 17.8 MeV, relative to the $^{234}$U(n,f) reference reaction. The in-beam measurements were carried out by using a set-up based on Micromegas detectors, while the quasi-monoenergetic neutron beams were produced by means of the $^3$H(d,n)$^4$He reaction at the 5.5MV Tandem T11/25 Accelerator Laboratory of the National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos" in Athens (Greece). Neutron-induced fission cross sections for (nat)Pb and (209)Bi were measured with a white-spectrum neutron source at the CERN Neutron Time-of-Flight (n\_TOF) facility. The experiment, using neutrons from threshold up to 1 GeV, provides the first results for these nuclei above 200 MeV. [...]

/ Chatzistavrakidis, A. (Democritos Nucl. Res. Ctr. ; Natl. Tech. U., Athens) ; Manousselis, P. (Natl. Tech. U., Athens ; Patras U.) ; Prezas, N. (CERN) ; Zoupanos, G. (Natl. Tech. U., Athens)
In the present contribution we extend our previous work by considering the coset space dimensional reduction of higher-dimensional Einstein--Yang--Mills theories including scalar fluctuations as well as Kaluza--Klein excitations of the compactification metric and we describe the gravity-modified rules for the reduction of non-abelian gauge theories..
