Shedding Light on the Origin of Pb204, the Heaviest s-Process–Only Isotope in the Solar System / n_TOF Collaboration
Asymptotic giant branch stars are responsible for the production of most of the heavy isotopes beyond Sr observed in the solar system. Among them, isotopes shielded from the r-process contribution by their stable isobars are defined as s-only nuclei. [...]

74Ge(n,γ) cross section below 70 keV measured at n_TOF CERN / n_TOF Collaboration
Neutron capture reaction cross sections on 74Ge are of importance to determine 74Ge production during the astrophysical slow neutron capture process. We present new resonance data on 74Ge(n,γ) reactions below 70 keV neutron energy. [...]

The CERN n TOF NEAR station for astrophysics- and application-related neutron activation measurements / n_TOF Collaboration
A new experimental area, the NEAR station, has recently been built at the CERN n TOF facility, at a short distance from the spallation target (1.5 m). [...]

A Segmented Total Energy Detector (sTED) optimized for (n,γ) cross-section measurements at n_TOF EAR2 / n_TOF Collaboration
The neutron time-of-flight facility n_TOF at CERN is a spallation source dedicated to measurements of neutron-induced reaction cross-sections of interest in nuclear technologies, astrophysics, and other applications. Since 2014, Experimental ARea 2 (EAR2) is operational and delivers a neutron fluence of 4×107 neutrons per nominal proton pulse, which is 50 times higher than the one of Experimental ARea 1 (EAR1) of 8×105 neutrons per pulse. [...]

Recent highlights and prospects on (n,γ) measurements at the CERN n_TOF facility / n_TOF Collaboration
Neutron capture cross-section measurements are fundamental in the study of the slow neutron capture (s-) process of nucleosynthesis and for the development of innovative nuclear technologies. [...]

Advances and new ideas for neutron-capture astrophysics experiments at CERN n_TOF / n_TOF Collaboration
This article presents a few selected developments and future ideas related to the measurement of (n,γ) data of astrophysical interest at CERN n_TOF. The MC-aided analysis methodology for the use of low-efficiency radiation detectors in time-of-flight neutron-capture measurements is discussed, with particular emphasis on the systematic accuracy. First measurement of the 94Nb(n,γ) cross section at the CERN n_TOF facility / n_TOF Collaboration
One of the crucial ingredients for the improvement of stellar models is the accurate knowledge of neutron capture cross-sections for the different isotopes involved in the s-,r- and i- processes. These measurements can shed light on existing discrepancies between observed and predicted isotopic abundances and help to constrain the physical conditions where these reactions take place along different stages of stellar evolution. In the particular case of the radioactive 94Nb, the 94Nb(n,γ) cross-section could play a role in the determination of the s-process production of 94Mo in AGB stars, which presently cannot be reproduced by state-of-the-art stellar models. Measurement of the 14N(n,p)14C cross section at the CERN n_TOF facility from sub-thermal energy to 800 keV / n_TOF Collaboration
Background: The 14N(n,p)14C reaction is of interest in neutron capture therapy, where nitrogen-related dose is the main component due to low-energy neutrons, and in astrophysics, where 14N acts as a neutron poison in the s-process. Several discrepancies remain between the existing data obtained in partial energy ranges: thermal energy, keV region and resonance region. [...]

Measurement and analysis of the 246Cm and 248Cm neutron capture cross-sections at the EAR2 of the n_TOF facility at CERN / n_TOF Collaboration
The 246Cm(n,γ) and 248Cm(n,γ) cross-sections have been measured at the Experimental Area 2 (EAR2) of the n_TOF facility at CERN with three C6D6 detectors. This measurement is part of a collective effort to improve the capture cross-section data for Minor Actinides (MAs), which are required to estimate the production and transmutation rates of these isotopes in light water reactors and innovative reactor systems. Measurement of the prompt fission γ-rays from slow neutron-induced fission of 235U with STEFF / n_TOF Collaboration
The average energy and multiplicity of prompt γ-rays from slow neutron-induced fission of 235U have been measured using the STEFF spectrometer at the neutron time-of-flight facility n_TOF. The individual responses from 11 NaI scintillators were corrected for multiple γ-ray interactions, prompt fission neutrons and background counts before being deconvolved to estimate the emitted spectrum of prompt fission γ-rays.
