We calculate the gluonic massive operator matrix elements in the unpolarized and polarized cases, $A_{gg,Q}(x,\mu^2)$ and $\Delta A_{gg,Q}(x,\mu^2)$, at three-loop order for a single mass. These quantities contribute to the matching of the gluon distribution in the variable flavor number scheme. [...]

Recent 3-Loop Heavy Flavor Corrections to Deep-Inelastic Scattering
/ Blümlein, Johannes (DESY, Zeuthen) ; Behring, Arnd (DESY, Zeuthen ; CERN) ; Goedicke, Alexander (DESY, Zeuthen ; Linz U.) ; von Manteuffel, Andreas (Regensburg U. ; Michigan State U.) ; Schneider, Carsten (Linz U.) ; Schönwald, Kay (DESY, Zeuthen ; Zurich U.) ; Ablinger, Jakob (Linz U.) ; De Freitas, Abilio (DESY, Zeuthen ; Linz U.)
We report on recent progress in calculating the three loop QCD corrections of the heavy flavor contributions in deep--inelastic scattering and the massive operator matrix elements of the variable flavor number scheme. Notably we deal with the operator matrix elements $A_{gg,Q}^{(3)}$ and $A_{Qg}^{(3)}$ and technical steps to their calculation. [...]

We report on the status of the calculation of the massive Wilson coefficients and operator matrix elements for deep-inelastic scatterung to three-loop order. We discuss both the unpolarized and the polarized case, for which all the single-mass and nearly all two-mass contributions have been calculated [...]

The first-order factorizable contributions to the three-loop massive operator matrix elements $A_{Qg}^{(3)}$ and $\Delta A_{Qg}^{(3)}$

The unpolarized and polarized massive operator matrix elements $A_{Qg}^{(3)}$ and $\Delta A_{Qg}^{(3)}$ contain first-order factorizable and non-first-order factorizable contributions in the determining difference or differential equations of their master integrals. We compute their first-order factorizable contributions in the single heavy mass case for all contributing Feynman diagrams. [...]

The inverse Mellin transform via analytic continuation
/ Behring, A. (CERN) ; Blümlein, J. (DESY) ; Schönwald, K. (Zurich U.)
We present a method to calculate the $x$--space expressions of massless or massive operator matrix elements in QCD and QED containing local composite operator insertions, depending on the discrete Mellin index $N$, directly, without computing the Mellin--space expressions in explicit form analytically. Here $N$ belongs either to the even or odd positive integers. [...]

We present a lattice determination of the $\Lambda$ parameter in three-flavor QCD and the strong coupling at the Z pole mass. Computing the nonperturbative running of the coupling in the range from $0.2\,$GeV to $70\,$GeV, and using experimental input values for the masses and decay constants of the pion and the kaon, we obtain $\Lambda_{\overline{\rm MS}}^{(3)}=341(12)\,$MeV. Charm physics with physical light and strange quarks using domain wall fermions
/ Jüttner, Andreas (Southampton U.) ; Del Debbio, Luigi (Edinburgh U.) ; Garron, Nicolas (Cambridge U., DAMTP) ; Khamseh, Ava (Edinburgh U.) ; Marinkovic, Marina (Southampton U. ; CERN) ; Sanfilippo, Francesco (Southampton U.) ; Tsang, Justus Tobias (Southampton U.) ; Boyle, Peter A. (Edinburgh U.)
We present a study of charm physics using RBC/UKQCD 2+1 flavour physical point domain wall fermion ensembles for the light quarks as well as for the valence charm quark. After a brief motivation of domain wall fermions as a suitable heavy quark discretisation we will show first results for masses and matrix elements..
