The challenges of beam polarization and keV-scale centre-of-mass energy calibration at the FCC-ee / Blondel, Alain (U. Geneva (main) ; Paris U., VI-VII) ; Gianfelice, Eliana (Fermilab)
The capability to determine the FCC-ee centre-of-mass energies (ECM) at the ppm level using resonant depolarization of the beams is essential for the Z line shape measurements, the W mass and the possible observation of the Higgs boson s-channel production. A first analysis (Blondel A et al Polarization and centre-of-mass energy calibration at FCC-ee. arXiv:1909.12245) demonstrated the feasibility of this programme, conditional to careful preparation and a number of further developments. FCC-ee: Energy calibration / Koratzinos, M. (Geneva U.) ; Blondel, A. (Geneva U.) ; Gianfelice-Wendt, E. (Fermilab) ; Zimmermann, F. (CERN)
The FCC-ee aims to improve on electroweak precision measurements, with goals of 100 keV on the Z mass and width, and a fraction of MeV on the W mass. Compared to LEP, this implies a much improved knowledge of the centre-of-mass energy when operating at the Z peak and WW threshold. [...]

FCC-ee Energy Calibration and Polarization / Keintzel, Jacqueline (CERN) ; Benedikt, Michael (CERN) ; Blondel, Alain (CERN) ; Koop, Ivan (CERN) ; Tomas, Rogelio (CERN) ; Wenninger, Jorg (CERN) ; Wilkinson, Guy (CERN) ; Zimmermann, Frank (CERN) /FCC-ee Collaboration
The Future Circular electron-positron Collider, FCC-ee, is designed for unprecedented precision for particle physics experiments from the Z-pole to above the top-pair-threshold. This demands a precise knowledge of the centre-of-mass energy (ECM) and collision boosts at all four interaction points and all operation energies. [...]

In summer 2021, the Future Circular Collider Feasibility Study was launched. The FCC-ee builds on 60 years of operating colliding beam storage rings. The design is robust and will provide high luminosity over the desired centre-of-mass energy range from 90 to 365 GeV. [...]

Centre-of-Mass Energy in FCC-ee / Keintzel, Jacqueline (CERN) ; Blondel, Alain (CERN) ; Shatilov, Dmitry (CERN) ; Tomás García, Rogelio (CERN) ; Zimmermann, Frank (CERN)
The Future Circular electron-positron Collider (FCC-ee) is designed for high precision particle physics experiments. This demands a precise knowledge of the beam energies, obtained by resonant depolarization, and from which the center-of-mass energy and possible boosts at all interaction points are then determined. [...]

The FCC-ee is a proposed circular e+e- collider installed in a new 100 km tunnel delivering high luminosity to four experiments at centre-of-mass energies ranging from 91 GeV (Z pole) over 160 GeV (W threshold) and 240 GeV (H production) to 350 GeV (t physics). The FCC-ee design is pursued as part of the global Future Circular Collider (FCC) study, which regards the FCC-ee as a potential intermediate step towards a 100-TeV hadron collider, called FCC-hh, sharing the same tunnel infrastructure. Precision Electroweak measurements at the Future Circular Collider / Dam, Mogens (Bohr Inst.) /FCC Design Study Group
Because of a luminosity of up to five orders of magnitude larger than at LEP, electroweak precision measurements at the FCC-ee -- the Future Circular Collider with electron-positron beams -- would provide improvements by orders of magnitude over the present status and constitute a broad search for the existence of new, weakly interacting particles up to very high energy scales. The FCC-ee will address centre-of-mass energies ranging from below the Z pole to the $\mathrm{t\bar{t}}$ threshold and above. [...]

Towards a Monochromatization Scheme for Direct Higgs Production at FCC-ee / Valdivia Garcia, Marco Alan (Guanajuato U. ; CERN) ; Faus-Golfe, Angeles (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Zimmermann, Frank (CERN)
Direct Higgs production in e+e− collisions at the FCC is of interest if the centre-of-mass energy spread can be reduced by at least an order of magnitude. A monochromatization scheme, to accomplish this, can be realized with horizontal dispersion of opposite sign for the two colliding beams at the interaction point (IP). [...]

The status of the energy calibration, polarization and monochromatization of the FCC-ee / Bauche, Jeremie (CERN) ; Blondel, Alain (CERN) ; Ciarma, Andrea (Frascati) ; Faus-Golfe, Angeles (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Bogomyagkov, Anton (Novosibirsk, IYF) ; Martens, Aurélien (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Gaskell, David (Jefferson Lab) ; Sagan, David (Cornell U.) ; Barber, Desmond (New Mexico U.) ; Shatilov, Dmitry (CERN) et al.
The Future Circular electron-positron Collider, FCC- ee, is designed for unprecedented precision for particle physics experiments from the Z-pole up to above the top-pair-threshold, corresponding to a beam energy range from 45.6 to 182.5 GeV. Performing collisions at various particle-physics resonances requires precise knowledge of the centre-of-mass energy (ECM) and collision boosts at all four interaction points. [...]
