The masses of Fr222,224,226–233 and Ra233,234 have been determined with the Penning-trap mass spectrometer ISOLTRAP at the ISOLDE facility at CERN, including the previously unknown mass and half-life of Fr233. We study the evolution of the odd-even staggering of binding energies along the francium and radium isotopic chains and of its lowest-order estimator, Δ3(N). [...]

We present a study of nuclear shape coexistence in the region of neutron-deficient lead isotopes. The midshell gold isotopes Au180,185,188,190 (Z=79), the two long-lived nuclear states in At197 (Z=85), and the neutron-rich nuclide At219 were produced by the ISOLDE facility at CERN and their masses were determined with the high-precision Penning-trap mass spectrometer ISOLTRAP. Inverse odd-even staggering in nuclear charge radii and possible octupole collectivity in $^{217,218,219}\mathrm{At}$ revealed by in-source laser spectroscopy / Barzakh, A E (St. Petersburg, INP) ; Cubiss, J G (York U., England) ; Andreyev, A N (York U., England ; JAEA, Ibaraki ; CERN) ; Seliverstov, M D (St. Petersburg, INP ; York U., England) ; Andel, B (Comenius U.) ; Antalic, S (Comenius U.) ; Ascher, P (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Atanasov, D (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Beck, D (Darmstadt, GSI) ; Bieroń, J (Jagiellonian U.) et al.
Hyperfine-structure parameters and isotope shifts for the 795-nm atomic transitions in $^{217,218,219}$At have been measured at CERN-ISOLDE, using the in-source resonance-ionization spectroscopy technique. Magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments, and changes in the nuclear mean-square charge radii, have been deduced. [...]

Differences in mean-square nuclear charge radii of $^{100–130} \rm{Cd}$ are extracted from high-resolution collinear laser spectroscopy of the $5s^2 S_{1/2} \to 5p^2 P_{3/2}$ transition of the ion and from the $5s5p^3P_2 \to 5s6s^3S_1$ transition in atomic Cd. The radii show a smooth parabolic behavior on top of a linear trend and a regular odd-even staggering across the almost complete $sdgh$ shell. [...]
