(Milan Bicocca U.) ; Alves, A. (U. Sao Paulo (main)) et al.
The discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012, by the ATLAS and CMS experiments, was a success achieved with only a percent of the entire dataset foreseen for the LHC. It opened a landscape of possibilities in the study of Higgs boson properties, Electroweak Symmetry breaking and the Standard Model in general, as well as new avenues in probing new physics beyond the Standard Model. Measurement of the energy-differential cross-section of the $^{12}$C(n,p)$^{12}$B and $^{12}$C(n,d)$^{11}$B reactions at the n_TOF facility at CERN
/ Barbagallo, M (CERN ; INFN, Bari) ; Aberle, O (CERN) ; Alcayne, V (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Amaducci, S (INFN, LNS ; Catania U.) ; Andrzejewski, J (Lodz U.) ; Audouin, L (Orsay, IPN) ; Babiano-Suarez, V (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Bacak, M (CERN ; Vienna, Tech. Although the $^{12}$C(n,p)$^{12}$B and $^{12}$C(n,d)$^{11}$B reactions are of interest in several fields of basic and applied Nuclear Physics the present knowledge of these two cross-sections is far from being accurate and reliable, with both evaluations and data showing sizable discrepancies. As part of the challenging n_TOF program on (n,cp) nuclear reactions study, the energy differential cross-sections of the $^{12}$C(n,p)$^{12}$B and $^{12}$C(n,d)$^{11}$B reactions have been measured at CERN from the reaction thresholds up to 30 MeV neutron energy. Setup for the measurement of the $^{235}$U(n, f) cross section relative to n-p scattering up to 1 GeV
/ Manna, A (INFN, Bologna ; U. Bologna, DIFA) ; Aberle, O (CERN) ; Alcayne, V (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Amaducci, S (INFN, LNS ; Catania U.) ; Andrzejewski, J (Lodz U.) ; Audouin, L (Orsay, IPN) ; Babiano, V-Suarez (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Bacak, M (CERN ; Vienna, Tech. U. ; IRFU, Saclay) ; Barbagallo, M (CERN ; INFN, Bari) ; Bennett, S (Manchester U.) et al.
The neutron induced fission of $^{235}$U is extensively used as a reference for neutron fluence measurements in various applications, ranging from the investigation of the biological effectiveness of high energy neutrons, to the measurement of high energy neutron cross sections of relevance for accelerator driven nuclear systems. Despite its widespread use, no data exist on neutron induced fission of $^{235}$U above 200 MeV. [...]
