Searching for an Invisibly Decaying Higgs Boson in E^+E^-, E-Gamma, and Gamma-Gamma Collisions / Eboli, Oscar J.P. (Wisconsin U., Madison) ; Gonzalez-Garcia, M.C. (Wisconsin U., Madison) ; Lopez-Fernandez, A. (CERN) ; Novaes, S.F. (Sao Paulo, IFT) ; Valle, J.W.F. (Valencia U.)
Higgs bosons can have a substantial ``invisible'' branching ratio in many extensions of the Standard Model, such as models where the Higgs bosons decay predominantly into light or massless weakly interacting Goldstone bosons. In this work, we examine the production mechanisms and backgrounds for invisibly decaying Higgs bosons at the Next Linear $e^+e^-$ Collider operating in the modes $e^+e^-$, $e\gamma$, and $\gamma\gamma$. QCD studies in $e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilation from 30 GeV to 189 GeV / L3 Collaboration
We present results obtained from a study of the structure of hadronic events recorded by the L3 detector at various centre-of-mass energies. The distributions of event shape variables and the energy dependence of their mean values are measured from 30 GeV to 189 GeV and compared with various QCD models. The energy dependence of the moments of event shape variables is used to test a power law ansatz for the non-perturbativecomponent [...]

Search for an invisibly decaying Higgs boson in $e^{+} e^{-}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 183-189 GeV / L3 Collaboration
A search for a Higgs boson decaying into invisible particles is performed using the datacollected at LEP by the L3 experiment at centre-of-mass energies of$183\gev{}$ and $189\gev{}$. The integrated luminosities are respectively 55.3~\pb{} and 176.4~\pb{}.The observed candidates are consistent with the expectations from StandardModel processes. In the hypothesis that the production cross section of this Higgs bosonequals the Standard Model one and the branching ratio into invisibleparticles is $100\%$, a lower masslimit of $89.2\gev{}$ is set at $95\%$ confidence level..

Measurement of the W Mass and Width in $e^+ e^-$ Collisions at 189 GeV / ALEPH Collaboration
The mass of the W boson is determined in e+e- collisions at LEP by the direct reconstruction of W decays in WW->qqqq and WW->lvqq events, supplemented by measurements using the kinematic properties of the leptons in the WW->lvlv decay channel. The main sample of W pairs is selected from an integrated luminosity of 174 pb^-1 collected with the ALEPH detector in 1998 at a centre-of-mass energy of 188.63 GeV.The combined result from all channels is mW = 80.432+-0.072(stat.)+-0.041(syst.)+-0.019(FSI)+-0.017(LEP) GeV/c^2, where FSI represents the possible effects of final state interactions in the qqqq channel [...]

W pair production cross-section and W branching fractions in $e^{+}e^{-}$ interactions at 189 GeV / DELPHI Collaboration
The cross-section for the process $e^+e^-\rightarrow W^+W^-$has been measured with the data sample collected by DELPHIat an average centre-of-mass energy of 189~GeV andcorresponding to an integrated luminosity of 155~pb$^{-1}$. Based on the 2392 events selected as $WW$ candidates, the croedoubly resonant process $e^+e^-\rightarrow W^+W^-$ has been me$15.83 \pm 0.38~\mbox{(stat)} \pm 0.20~\mbox{(syst)~pb}$.The branching fractions of the $W$ decay were also measured ato be in good agreement with the Standard Model expectation. From these a value of the CKM mixing matrix element$ |V_{cs}| = 1.001 \pm 0.040~\mbox{(stat)} \pm 0.020~\mbox{(s$was derived..
