Light isovector resonances in $\pi^- p \to \pi^-\pi^-\pi^+ p$ at 190 GeV/${\it c}$ / COMPASS Collaboration
We have performed the most comprehensive resonance-model fit of $\pi^-\pi^-\pi^+$ states using the results of our previously published partial-wave analysis (PWA) of a large data set of diffractive-dissociation events from the reaction $\pi^- + p \to \pi^-\pi^-\pi^+ + p_\text{recoil}$ with a 190 GeV/$c$ pion beam. The PWA results, which were obtained in 100 bins of three-pion mass, $0.5 < m_{3\pi} < 2.5$ GeV/$c^2$, and simultaneously in 11 bins of the reduced four-momentum transfer squared, $0.1 < t' < 1.0$ $($GeV$/c)^2$, are subjected to a resonance-model fit using Breit-Wigner amplitudes to simultaneously describe a subset of 14 selected waves using 11 isovector light-meson states with $J^{PC} = 0^{-+}$, $1^{++}$, $2^{++}$, $2^{-+}$, $4^{++}$, and spin-exotic $1^{-+}$ quantum numbers. Asymmetry measurements in $t\bar{t}$ events / Naseri, Mohsen (IPM, Tehran) /ATLAS ,CMS and Top Collaborations ; ATLAS Collaboration ; CMS Collaboration
An overview of the most recent measurements on top quark charge asymmetry in top quark pair production is presented. The results are obtained using data collected with ATLAS and CMS detectors in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 8 TeV. [...]

New Constraints and Prospects for sub-GeV Dark Matter Scattering off Electrons in Xenon / Essig, Rouven (YITP, Stony Brook) ; Volansky, Tomer (Tel Aviv U.) ; Yu, Tien-Tien (CERN ; YITP, Stony Brook)
We study in detail sub-GeV dark matter scattering off electrons in xenon, including the expected electron recoil spectra and annual modulation spectra. We derive improved constraints using low-energy XENON10 and XENON100 ionization-only data. [...]

Continuum limit and universality of the Columbia plot / de Forcrand, Philippe (ETH, Zurich (main) ; CERN) ; D'Elia, Massimo (INFN, Pisa ; Pisa U.)
Results on the thermal transition of QCD with 3 degenerate flavors, in the lower-left corner of the Columbia plot, are puzzling. The transition is expected to be first-order for massless quarks, and to remain so for a range of quark masses until it turns second-order at a critical quark mass. [...]

NLO predictions for Higgs boson pair production with full top quark mass dependence matched to parton showers / Heinrich, G. (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Jones, S.P. (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Kerner, M. (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Luisoni, G. (CERN) ; Vryonidou, E. (NIKHEF, Amsterdam)
We present the first combination of NLO QCD matrix elements for di-Higgs production, retaining the full top quark mass dependence, with a parton shower. Results are provided within both the POWHEG-BOX and MadGraph5_aMC@NLO Monte Carlo frameworks. [...]

Measurements of electroweak $Wjj$ production and constraints on anomalous gauge couplings with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
Measurements of the electroweak production of a $W$ boson in association with two jets at high dijet invariant mass are performed using $\sqrt{s} = 7$ and $8$ TeV proton--proton collision data produced by the Large Hadron Collider, corresponding respectively to 4.7 and 20.2 fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity collected by the ATLAS detector. The measurements are sensitive to the production of a $W$ boson via a triple-gauge-boson vertex and include both the fiducial and differential cross sections of the electroweak process..

Search for third-generation scalar leptoquarks and heavy right-handed neutrinos in final states with two tau leptons and two jets in proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s}=13 $ TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search is performed for third-generation scalar leptoquarks and heavy right-handed neutrinos in events containing one electron or muon, one hadronically decaying tau lepton, and at least two jets, using a sqrt(s) = 13 TeV pp collision data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 12.9 inverse femtobarns collected with the CMS detector at the LHC in 2016. The number of observed events is found to be in agreement with the standard model prediction. [...]

FRB 121102 Casts New Light on the Photon Mass / Bonetti, Luca (Orleans U. ; LPC2E, Orleans) ; Ellis, John (King's Coll. London ; CERN) ; Mavromatos, Nikolaos E. (King's Coll. London ; CERN) ; Sakharov, Alexander S. (New York U. ; Manhattan Coll., Riverdale ; CERN) ; Sarkisyan-Grinbaum, Edward K. (CERN ; Texas U., Arlington) ; Spallicci, Alessandro D. A. M. (Orleans U. ; LPC2E, Orleans)
The photon mass, $m_\gamma$, can in principle be constrained using measurements of the dispersion measures (DMs) of fast radio bursts (FRBs), once the FRB redshifts are known. The DM of the repeating FRB 121102 is known to $< 1$\%, a host galaxy has now been identified with high confidence, and its redshift, $z$, has now been determined with high accuracy: $z = 0.19273(8)$. Measurements of the charge asymmetry in top-quark pair production in the dilepton final state at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / Naranjo Garcia, Roger Felipe (DESY, Hamburg and Zeuthen)
Measurements of the top--antitop quark pair production charge asymmetry in the dilepton channel, characterized by two high-${p}_{\rm{T}}$ leptons (electrons or muons), are presented using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 20.3 $\textrm{fb}^{-1}$ from $pp$ collisions at a center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s} = 8$~TeV collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.
