CPT and Lorentz symmetry tests with hydrogen using a novel in-beam hyperfine spectroscopy method applicable to antihydrogen experiments / Nowak, Lilian ; Malbrunot, Chloé ; Simon, Martin C. ; Amsler, Claude ; Arguedas Cuendis, Sergio ; Lahs, Sebastian ; Lanz, Andreas ; Nanda, Amit ; Wiesinger, Markus ; Wolz, Tim et al. /Asacusa AD-3
We present a Rabi-type measurement of two ground-state hydrogen hyperfine transitions performed in two opposite external magnetic field directions. This puts first constraints at the level of 2.3 × 10^{−21} GeV on a set of coefficients of the Standard Model Extension, which were not measured by previous experiments. [...]

The electric field gradient as a signature of the binding and the local structure of adatoms on graphene / Fenta, A S (Leuven U. ; Aveiro U. ; CERN) ; Amorim, C O (Aveiro U.) ; Gonçalves, J N (Aveiro U.) ; Fortunato, N (Aveiro U.) ; Barbosa, M B (Porto U. ; Singapore Natl. U.) ; Cottenier, S (Gent U.) ; Correia, J G (CERN ; Lisbon, IST) ; Pereira, L M C (Leuven U.) ; Amaral, V S (Aveiro U.)
We examined the interaction between adatoms and graphene for Ag, Cd, In and Hg by density functional theory. We establish a relation between the binding energy and the electric-field gradient tensor (EFG) for each atom, which indicates that hyperfine interactions can be used to probe the binding and stability of adatoms on graphene. Investigation of the local environment of SnO2 in an applied magnetic field / Schell, J (CERN ; U. Duisburg-Essen) ; Dang, T T (U. Duisburg-Essen ; Bonn U., HISKP) ; Zyabkin, D V (Ilmenau Tech. U. ; Palacky U.) ; Mansano, R D (Sao Paulo U.) ; Gaertner, D (Munster U.) ; Carbonari, A W (IPEN, Sao Paulo)
This paper presents the results of time-differential perturbed gamma–gamma angular correlation measurements of SnO2 thin films carried out in an applied magnetic field. The measurements were performed upon the implantation of Fe at 80 keV and 111In(111Cd) at 160 keV. [...]

Optimising the Collinear Resonance Ionisation Spectroscopy (CRIS) experiment at CERN-ISOLDE / Vernon, A R (Manchester U.) ; de Groote, R P (Jyvaskyla U. ; Leuven U.) ; Billowes, J (Manchester U.) ; Binnersley, C L (Manchester U.) ; Cocolios, T E (Leuven U.) ; Farooq-Smith, G J (Leuven U.) ; Flanagan, K T (Manchester U.) ; Garcia Ruiz, R F (Manchester U. ; CERN) ; Gins, W (Leuven U.) ; Koszorús, Á (Leuven U.) et al.
The CRIS experiment at CERN-ISOLDE is a dedicated laser spectroscopy setup for high-resolution hyperfine structure measurements of nuclear observables of exotic isotopes. Between 2015 and 2018 developments have been made to improve the background suppression, laser-atom overlap and automation of the beamline. [...]

Hyperfine structure and nuclear magnetic moments of the praseodymium isotopes {135,136,137}^Pr / IS517 Collaboration
Collinear laser spectroscopy was applied to measure the hyperfine structure of {135−137}^Pr at ISOLDE/CERN. Combined with measurements of the stable isotope {141}^Pr at the TRIGA-SPEC setup in Mainz we were able to determine the magnetic moments of the neutron-deficient isotopes {135}^Pr, {136}^Pr and {137}^Pr for the first time..

First steps in the development of the Multi Ion Reflection Apparatus for Collinear Laser Spectroscopy / Sels, Simon Mark C (CERN) ; Fischer, Paul (Ernst Moritz Arndt Universitaet (DE)) ; Heylen, Hanne (CERN) ; Lagaki, Varvara (Ernst Moritz Arndt Universitaet (DE)) ; Lechner, Simon (University of Vienna (AT)) ; Maier, Franziska Maria (Johannes Kepler University (AT)) ; Plattner, Peter (University of Innsbruck (AT)) ; Rosenbusch, Marco (Ernst Moritz Arndt Universitaet (DE)) ; Wienholtz, Frank (Ernst Moritz Arndt Universitaet (DE)) ; Wolf, Robert (Max-Planck-Gesellschaft (DE)) et al.
Collinear laser spectroscopy (CLS) has been combined with the multi-reflection time-of-flight (MR-ToF) technique. To this end, a photodetection system has been implemented at the drift region of a MR-ToF apparatus and a laser beam has been sent along the path of the ions that are stored between the two ion-optical mirrors. The hyperfine structure splitting in the 6p3 4S3/26p27s4P1/2 transition at 307 nm in atomic 208Bi was measured with collinear laser spectroscopy at ISOLDE, CERN. The hyperfine A and B factors of both states were determined with an order of magnitude improved accuracy. [...]

Prospects for Lorentz and CPT tests with hydrogen and antihydrogen / Becker, Tobias Frederic
As a summer student for 13 weeks in the ASACUSA-CUSP collaboration, under the supervision of Chloé Malbrunot, my project consisted in a first part on the theoretical treatment of Lorentz and CPT violation in hydrogen & antihydrogen in the framework of the Standard Model Extension SME and in second part on experimental measurements on a hydrogen beam..

Nuclear moments and charge radii of argon isotopes between the neutron-shell closures N = 20 and N = 28 / Blaum, K (Mainz U., Inst. Phys. ; CERN) ; Geithner, W (Mainz U., Inst. Phys.) ; Lassen, J (Mainz U., Inst. Phys. ; TRIUMF) ; Lievens, P (Leuven U.) ; Marinova, K (LHEP JINR, Dubna) ; Neugart, R (Mainz U., Inst. Phys.)
We report the measurement of optical isotope shifts for 40–44 Ar relative to 38 Ar from which changes in the mean square nuclear charge radii across the 1 f 7 / 2 neutron shell are deduced. In addition, the hyperfine structure of 41 Ar and 43 Ar yields the spins, magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments, in particular the spin I = 5 / 2 for 43 Ar. [...]
