Searching for heavy leptophilic Z′: from lepton colliders to gravitational waves / Dasgupta, Arnab (Pittsburgh U.) ; Dev, P S Bhupal (McDonnell Ctr. Space Sci.) ; Han, Tao (Pittsburgh U.) ; Padhan, Rojalin (Pittsburgh U. ; Bhubaneswar, Inst. Phys. ; HBNI, Mumbai) ; Wang, Si (Pittsburgh U.) ; Xie, Keping (Pittsburgh U. ; Michigan State U.)
We study the phenomenology of leptophilic $Z'$ gauge bosons at the future high-energy $e^+e^-$ and $\mu^+\mu^-$ colliders, as well as at the gravitational wave observatories. The leptophilic $Z'$ model, although well-motivated, remains largely unconstrained from current low-energy and collider searches for $Z'$ masses above ${\cal O}(100~{\rm GeV})$, thus providing a unique opportunity for future lepton colliders. Closing in on critical net-baryon fluctuations at LHC energies: Cumulants up to third order in Pb–Pb collisions / ALICE Collaboration
Fluctuation measurements are important sources of information on the mechanism of particle production at LHC energies. This article reports the first experimental results on third-order cumulants of the net-proton distributions in Pb$-$Pb collisions at a center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}} = 5.02$ TeV recorded by the ALICE detector. Neutral to charged kaon yield fluctuations in Pb$-$Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV / Acharya, Shreyasi (Calcutta, VECC) ; Adamova, Dagmar (Rez, Nucl. Phys. Inst.) ; Adler, Alexander (Goethe U., Frankfurt, Inst. Inform.) ; Adolfsson, Jonatan (Lund U.) ; Aglieri Rinella, Gianluca (CERN) ; Agnello, Michelangelo (Turin Polytechnic) ; Agrawal, Neelima (INFN, Bologna) ; Ahammed, Zubayer (Calcutta, VECC) ; Ahmad, Shakeel (Aligarh Muslim U.) ; Ahn, Sang Un (KISTI, Daejeon) et al. /ALICE
We present the first measurement of event-by-event fluctuations in the kaon sector in Pb$-$Pb collisions at $\sqrt {s_{\rm NN}}=$ 2.76 TeV with the ALICE detector at the LHC. The robust fluctuation correlator $\nu_{\rm dyn}$ is used to evaluate the magnitude of fluctuations of the relative yields of neutral and charged kaons, as well as the relative yields of charged kaons, as a function of collision centrality and selected kinematic ranges. Multiplicity dependencies of midrapidity transverse momentum spectra of identified charged particles in $p+p$ collisions at $(s)^{1/2}$ = 13 TeV at LHC / Olimov, Khusniddin K (Tashkent, FTI) ; Liu, Fu-Hu (Shanxi U.) ; Musaev, Kobil A (Tashkent, FTI) ; Olimov, Kosim (Tashkent, FTI) ; Tukhtaev, Boburbek J (Tashkent, FTI) ; Yuldashev, Bekhzod S (Tashkent, IYF) ; Saidkhanov, Nasir Sh (Tashkent, FTI) ; Umarov, Kobil I (Tashkent, FTI) ; Gulamov, Kadyr G (Tashkent, FTI)
Multiplicity dependencies of midrapidity $p_t$ spectra of identified charged particles in inelastic $p+p$ collisions at $(s)^{1/2} = $13 TeV at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), measured by ALICE Collaboration, have been analyzed. The combined minimum $χ^2$ fits with thermodynamically consistent Tsallis function as well as Hagedorn function with the embedded transverse flow describe quite satisfactorily the $p_t$ spectra of particles in the studied 10 different classes of charged-particle multiplicity in inelastic $p+p$ collisions at $(s)^{1/2} = $13 TeV. Spectra and mean multiplicities of $\pi ^{-}$ in central${}^{40}$Ar+${}^{45}$Sc collisions at 13A, 19A, 30A, 40A, 75A and 150$A\,\text{ Ge }\text{ V }\!/\!\textit{c}$ beam momenta measured by the NA61/SHINE spectrometer at the CERN SPS / NA61/SHINE Collaboration
The physics goal of the strong interaction program of the NA61/SHINE experiment at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) is to study the phase diagram of hadronic matter by a scan of particle production in collisions of nuclei with various sizes at a set of energies covering the SPS energy range. This paper presents differential inclusive spectra of transverse momentum, transverse mass and rapidity of $\pi^-$ mesons produced in \textit{central} ${}^{40}$Ar+${}^{45}$Sc collisions at beam momenta of 13A, 19A, 30A, 40A, 75A and 150A GeV/c. Work of numerous research groups has shown different outcomes of studies of the transition from the ferroelectric $\alpha$-phase to the high temperature $\beta$-phase of the multiferroic, magnetoelectric perovskite Bismuth Ferrite (BiFeO$_{3}$ or BFO). Using the perturbed angular correlation (PAC) method with $^{111m}$Cd as the probe nucleus, the $\alpha$ to $\beta$ phase transition was characterized. [...]
