Context-Dependent Outlier Detection Technique for Analysis of Single Event Frequency Transients in CMOS LC-Tank Oscillators / Rombouts, W ; Karsmakers, P (Leuven U.) ; Adom-Bamfi, G (Leuven U.) ; Biereigel, S (CERN) ; Prinzie, J (Leuven U.)
This article presents a contextual outlier detection technique employing machine learning (ML) method to improve the quality of experimentally obtained data from heavy-ion irradiation campaigns. Artifacts arising from the experimental setup often compromise the integrity and representativeness of the measured data. [...]

To increase the image quality and spatial resolution inpositron emission tomography (PET), organ-dedicated and large axialfield of view scanners require precise correction of the parallaxerrors at oblique angles via depth-of-interaction methods. Inaddition to their large solid angle coverage, time-of-flight (TOF)information, i.e., a high coincidence time resolution (CTR), can beexploited to increase the image signal-to-noise ratio andeffectively boost system sensitivity. Novell trigger strategies for HL-LHC in ATLAS / Geralis, Theodoros (Nat. Cent. for Sci. Res. Demokritos (GR)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The ATLAS experiment at CERN is constructing upgraded system for the "High Luminosity LHC", with collisions due to start in 2029. In order to deliver an order of magnitude more data than previous LHC runs, 14 TeV protons will collide with an instantaneous luminosity of up to 7.5 x 10e34 cm^-2s^-1, resulting in much higher pileup and data rates than the current experiment was designed to handle [...]

Preparing ATLAS for the high-luminosity LHC: system testing and performance evaluation of the ITk Strip detector / Toldaiev, O (Indiana U.) ; Trischuk, D (Brandeis U.) ; Arling, J H (DESY) /ATLAS ITk Strips Collaboration
The new ATLAS Inner Tracker (ITk) will replace the current tracking system in ATLAS to cope with the challenging conditions during the high-luminosity phase of the Large Hadron Collider. ITk is an all-silicon detector consisting of a pixel inner tracker and a silicon microstrip outer tracker. [...]

The DAQ software for ATLAS Inner Pixel Tracker system testing for HL-LHC / Rastogi, Angira (LBL, Berkeley) /ATLAS Collaboration
The ATLAS experiment is preparing for the High-Luminosity LHC era, by replacing thecurrent innermost detector with an advanced all-silicon tracker (pixels and strips) to withstandradiation damage and increased particle activity. Pixel module quality control tests span variousproduction stages which necessitates a robust data acquisition software capable of handling highdata rates for fast readout and performing calibrations at MHz frequencies on several front-endssimultaneously. The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, operates the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the world’s most powerful particle accelerator. One of the four main LHC experiments is A Large Ion Collider Experiment (ALICE), which is dedicated to studying the properties of quark–gluon plasma, a state of matter that existed shortly after the Big Bang. Measuring Performance Under Failures in the LHCb Data Acquisition Network / Stein, Eloïse (CERN ; U. Strasbourg) ; Pisani, Flavio (CERN) ; Colombo, Tommaso (CERN) ; Pelsser, Cristel (U. Strasbourg ; Louvain U.)
For the Large Hadron Collider beauty (LHCb) experiment, achieving high throughput in the data acquisition (DAQ) network is crucial for supporting scientific applications. However, failures within DAQ networks can lead to significant performance degradation. [...]

The Ethernet Readout of the DUNE DAQ System / Sipos, Roland (CERN) /DUNE Collaboration
In 2023, the deep underground neutrino experiment (DUNE) data acquisition (DAQ) system transitioned to a new Ethernet-based readout. This required an extension to the modular readout subsystem: in particular, a new I/O device library was implemented, interfacing with the detector electronics; a firmware block was provided by the DAQ team to the electronics experts for the implementation of the data formatting and transmission; and the trigger primitive generation (TPG) software in the readout system was adapted to the modified data format. [...]
