Correction of the baseline fluctuations in the GEM-based ALICE TPC / ALICE TPC Collaboration
To operate the ALICE Time Projection Chamber in continuous mode during the Run~3 and Run~4 data-taking periods of the Large Hadron Collider, the multi-wire proportional chamber-based readout was replaced with gas-electron multipliers. As expected, the detector performance is affected by the so-called common-mode effect, which leads to significant baseline fluctuations. [...]

ALICE upgrades during the LHC Long Shutdown 2 / ALICE Collaboration
A Large Ion Collider Experiment (ALICE) has been conceived and constructed as a heavy-ion experiment at the LHC. During LHC Runs 1 and 2, it has produced a wide range of physics results using all collision systems available at the LHC. [...]

Presently under construction in Lund, Sweden, the European Spallation Source (ESS) will be the world's brightest neutron source. As such, it has the potential for a particle physics program with a unique reach and which is complementary to that available at other facilities. [...]

Measurement of (anti)nuclei production in p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}} = 8.16$ TeV / ALICE Collaboration
Measurements of (anti)proton, (anti)deuteron, and (anti)$^3$He production in the rapidity range $-1<y< 0$ as a function of the transverse momentum and event multiplicity in p-Pb collisions at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon-nucleon pair $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}} = 8.16$ TeV are presented. The coalescence parameters $B_2$ and $B_3$, measured as a function of the transverse momentum per nucleon and of the mean charged-particle multiplicity density, confirm a smooth evolution from low to high multiplicity across different collision systems and energies. [...]

Measurement of the lifetime and $\Lambda$ separation energy of $^{3}_{\Lambda}\mathrm H$ / ALICE Collaboration
The most precise measurements to date of the $^{3}_{\Lambda}\mathrm H$ lifetime $\tau$ and $\Lambda$ separation energy ${\rm B}_{\Lambda}$ are obtained using the data sample of Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}=$ 5.02 TeV collected by ALICE at the LHC. The $^{3}_{\Lambda}\mathrm H$ is reconstructed via its charged two-body mesonic decay channel ($^{3}_{\Lambda}\mathrm{H} \rightarrow$ $^3$He + $\pi^-$ and the charge-conjugate process). [...]

Neutron emission in ultraperipheral Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt {s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
In ultraperipheral collisions (UPCs) of relativistic nuclei without overlap of nuclear densities, the two nuclei are excited by the Lorentz-contracted Coulomb fields of their collision partners. In these UPCs, the typical nuclear excitation energy is below a few tens of MeV, and a small number of nucleons are emitted in electromagnetic dissociation (EMD) of primary nuclei, in contrast to complete nuclear fragmentation in hadronic interactions. Performance of the ALICE Electromagnetic Calorimeter / ALICE Collaboration
The performance of the electromagnetic calorimeter of the ALICE experiment during operation in 2010$-$2018 at the Large Hadron Collider is presented. After a short introduction into the design, readout, and trigger capabilities of the detector, the procedures for data taking, reconstruction, and validation are explained. [...]

Multiplicity dependence of $\Upsilon$ production at forward rapidity in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
The measurement of $\Upsilon$(1S), $\Upsilon$(2S), and $\Upsilon$(3S) yields as a function of the charged-particle multiplicity density ${\rm d}N_{\rm ch}/{\rm d}\eta$, using the ALICE experiment at the LHC, is reported in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV. The $\Upsilon$ meson yields are measured at forward rapidity ($2.5 < y < 4$) in the dimuon decay channel, whereas the charged-particle multiplicity is defined at central rapidity ($|\eta| < 1$). A time projection chamber with GEM-based readout / LCTPC Collaboration
For the International Large Detector concept at the planned International Linear Collider, the use of time projection chambers (TPC) with micro-pattern gas detector readout as the main tracking detector is investigated. In this paper, results from a prototype TPC, placed in a 1T solenoidal field and read out with three independent Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) based readout modules, are reported. [...]

Understanding the role of parton mass and Casimir colour factors in the quantum chromodynamics parton shower represents an important step in characterising the emission properties of heavy quarks. Recent experimental advances in jet substructure techniques have provided the opportunity to isolate and characterise gluon emissions from heavy quarks. [...]
