We report a particle identification (PID) tool developed using energy-loss information in the silicon-strip vertex detector (SVD) of Belle II for charged pions, kaons, and protons using \(D^{* + } \to D^{0}[ \to K^{ - }\pi ^{ + }]\pi ^{ + }\) and \(\Lambda \to p\pi ^{ - }\) decay samples. The study is based on e^+e^− collision data recorded at the \(\Upsilon (4S)\) resonance by Belle II and the results are compared with that of a Monte Carlo sample. [...]

Analysis of humidity sensitivity of silicon strip sensors for ATLAS upgrade tracker, pre- and post-irradiation / ATLAS Collaboration
The ATLAS collaboration is working on a major upgrade of the Inner-Tracker, able to withstand the extreme operational conditions expected for the forthcoming High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) upgrade. During the prototyping phase of the new large area silicon strip sensors, the community observed a degradation of the breakdown voltage (down to 200-500 V from >= 1 kV in bias voltage) when the devices with final technology options were exposed to high humidity, recovering the electrical performance prior to the exposure after a short period in dry conditions [J. Updated design of the CMB polarization experiment satellite LiteBIRD / Sugai, H. (Tokyo U., IPMU) ; Ade, P.A.R. (Cardiff U.) ; Akiba, Y. (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba) ; Alonso, D. (Oxford U.) ; Arnold, K. (UC, San Diego) ; Aumont, J. (IRAP, Toulouse) ; Austermann, J. (NIST, Boulder) ; Baccigalupi, C. (CNR, Italy ; INFN, Trieste ; SISSA, Trieste) ; Banday, A.J. (IRAP, Toulouse) ; Banerji, R. (Oslo U.) et al.
Recent developments of transition-edge sensors (TESs), based on extensive experience in ground-based experiments, have been making the sensor techniques mature enough for their application on future satellite CMB polarization experiments. LiteBIRD is in the most advanced phase among such future satellites, targeting its launch in Japanese Fiscal Year 2027 (2027FY) with JAXA's H3 rocket. [...]

First bulk and surface results for the ATLAS ITk stereo annulus sensors / ATLAS Collaboration
A novel microstrip sensor geometry, the “stereo annulus”, has been developed for use in the end-cap of the ATLAS experiment’s strip tracker upgrade at the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL- LHC). The radiation-hard, single-sided, ac-coupled, n + -in-p microstrip sensors are designed by the ITk Strip Sensor Collaboration and produced by Hamamatsu Photonics. [...]
