CP violation and the violation of baryon-minus-lepton number B-L do not necessarily have to occur simultaneously in order to accomplish successful leptogenesis. Instead, it suffices if new CP-violating interactions at high energies result in primordial charge asymmetries, which are then reprocessed into a nonvanishing B-L asymmetry by right-handed neutrinos (RHNs) at lower energies. We present a leptogenesis mechanism based on the standard type-I seesaw model that successfully operates at right-handed-neutrino masses as low as a few 100 TeV. This mechanism, which we dub "wash-in leptogenesis", does not require any CP violation in the neutrino sector and can be implemented even in the regime of strong wash-out. [...]

On the preheating in a scale invariant UV extension of Higgs inflation / Kamada, Kohei (speaker)
Higgs inflation with the nonminimal coupling to gravity \xi H^2 R is the unique model to realize inflation driven by the Standard Model Higgs field in a classically scale invariant way. However, the reheating in that model is not understood well yet. Non-linear absorption spectroscopy in pump and probe configuration has been used to test the population of non-equilibrium carriers in Ce-doped Y$_{3}$Al$_{5}$O_${12}$ (YAG), Lu3Al5O12 (LuAG), and Gd3AlxGa(5-x)O12 (GAGG) crystals with and without codoping by Mg2+ ions. A faster rise time of the induced optical density has been observed in all crystals codoped with Mg with respect to that in Mg-free samples. [...]
