Particle physics today faces the challenge of explaining the mystery of dark matter, the origin of matter over anti-matter in the Universe, the origin of the neutrino masses, the apparent fine-tuning of the electro-weak scale, and many other aspects of fundamental physics. Perhaps the most striking frontier to emerge in the search for answers involves new physics at mass scales comparable to familiar matter, below the GeV-scale, or even radically below, down to sub-eV scales, and with very feeble interaction strength. The existence of non-zero neutrino masses points to the likely existence of multiple SM neutral fermions. When such states are heavy enough that they cannot be produced in oscillations, they are referred to as Heavy Neutral Leptons (HNLs). [...]

Feebly-interacting particles: FIPs 2020 workshop report / Agrawal, Prateek (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Bauer, Martin (Durham U., IPPP) ; Beacham, James (Duke U.) ; Berlin, Asher (New York U., CCPP ; New York U.) ; Boyarsky, Alexey (Leiden U.) ; Cebrian, Susana (Zaragoza U.) ; Cid-Vidal, Xabier (Santiago de Compostela U.) ; d'Enterria, David (CERN) ; De Roeck, Albert (CERN) ; Drewes, Marco (Louvain U., CP3) et al.
With the establishment and maturation of the experimental programs searching for new physics with sizeable couplings at the LHC, there is an increasing interest in the broader particle and astrophysics community for exploring the physics of light and feebly-interacting particles as a paradigm complementary to a New Physics sector at the TeV scale and beyond. FIPs 2020 has been the first workshop fully dedicated to the physics of feebly-interacting particles and was held virtually from 31 August to 4 September 2020. [...]

Testable leptogenesis scenarios and phenomenological implications / Lopez-Pavon, J (CERN)
The simplest extension of the Standard Model (SM) that can account for neutrinomasses consists in the addition of 2 right-handed neutrinos to the SM fieldcontent. In addition to the generation of the light neutrino mass and mixingpattern measured in neutrino oscillation experiments, the low scale realizationof the model provides an explanation for the matter-antimatter asymmetry of theUniverse via ARS leptogenesis, with right-handed neu-trino masses in the range[0.1-100] GeV. Global bounds on heavy neutrino mixing / López-Pavón, Jacobo (CERN)
General bounds on the mixing between heavy and active neutrinos from a complete set of 28 observables are derived. Two scenarios are analysed and compared: (i) a general scenario in which an arbitrary number of heavy neutrinos is integrated out without any further assumption; (ii) only three heavy neutrinos are included and the light neutrino masses and mixings as measured in neutrino oscillations experiments are generated. Decoherence in neutrino propagation through matter, and bounds from IceCube/DeepCore / Coloma, Pilar (Fermilab) ; Lopez-Pavon, Jacobo (CERN) ; Martinez-Soler, Ivan (Madrid, IFT) ; Nunokawa, Hiroshi (Rio de Janeiro, Pont. U. Catol.)
We revisit neutrino oscillations in matter considering the open quantum system framework which allows to introduce possible decoherence effects generated by New Physics in a phenomenological manner. We assume that the decoherence parameters $\gamma_{ij}$ may depend on the neutrino energy, as $\gamma_{ij}=\gamma_{ij}^{0}(E/\text{GeV})^n$ $(n = 0,\pm1,\pm2) $. [...]

ARS Leptogenesis / Drewes, M. (Munich, Tech. U. ; Louvain U., CP3) ; Garbrecht, B. (Munich, Tech. U.) ; Hernandez, P. (Valencia U., IFIC ; Valencia U. ; CERN) ; Kekic, M. We review the current status of the leptogenesis scenario originally proposed by Akhmedov, Rubakov and Smirnov (ARS). It takes place in the parametric regime where the right-handed neutrinos are at the electroweak scale or below and the CP-violating effects are induced by the coherent superposition of different right-handed mass eigenstates. A Standard Model extension with two Majorana neutrinos can explain the measured neutrino masses and mixings, and also account for the matter-antimatter asymmetry in a region of parameter space that could be testable in future experiments. The testability of the model relies to some extent on its minimality. [...]
